Amygdalin - Cyanide Poisening

E.S. asks from Houston, TX

My son is adopted and during his birth mom's pregnancy she would grind up 9 peach pits daily to "ward off cancer," or so she believed. As it turns out, the pits contain amygdalin, which is cyanide.
My question is, is there anyone out there whose child has been exposed to amygdalin while in utero?
My son displayed global developmental delays from the time he was 10 months old, and was diagnosed with PDD/NOS (autism) when he was 2. He is now 4 and I'm still looking for answers to his "quirkyness."

Thanks!

What can I do next?

Wow. Bizarre. Don't have any answers, I've just never heard of anyone doing this. If we were meant to eat 9 peach pits a day - they would be easier to eat.

Let me first start by giving you applause for taking in this blessed child. Second, I have a child that has PDD-NOS and it is not as bad as some make it out to be. I personally don't believe that any chemicals can cause this diagnosis although some do cause some delay in development. PDD-NOS is an answer to the "quirkyness". Please try not to look at this as a death sentence, but more as something that makes him special. My son is absolutely wonderful, and I wouldn't change him for the world. He is also ultra quirky and I have helped him over the years to adjust to changes and such. He is in full mainstream classes with just a little extra help at the beginning and end of the class. This past six weeks he made his first A/B honor-role. You really need to stop dwelling on his quirkyness and just try to be supportive. There are many places you can go for extra help in understanding this diagnosis as well as many support groups for families that have a child with PDD-NOS or Autism. I live in Katy, TX and have found so many resources. Try doing a google search online. You are welcome to email me as one who has been through a similar situation. My son is now 11 1/2 years old and going into Middle School, so I have been through this for many years. I know it's hard at first to deal with the idea of all of this, and many people don't fully comprehend it, but it's really not has bad as people think. Just remember that your child is special, and his quirkyness is part of what makes him who he is. Love him for his uniqueness. Hope this helps some. I feel for you, as one mother with a child with autism to another. It was hard for me at first too, but I have learned to seek help when needed, but not to try and change everything about him because that's what makes him special. Good luck and please message me if you need some help with the understanding or just some support.

HI E.,

I am very much into natural healing but the peach pit poisoning is not much different than doing chemo. Anthrax and Hemlock are natural too but my goodness, I don't get it. I really don't know if anything can actually be reversed but I do know that I would try. The first thing to do is a detox of his little body. At four that pretty much means he needs a superior multivitamin/mineral complex that does not cause free radicals, a complete detox of his surroundings and clean water and a lot of exercise.
I'll be glad to elaborate on what I did to get my daughter's ADHD diagnosis removed.

Synthetic chemicals break down the immune system and mess with the neurological system so I would avoid as many meds, prescription or over the counter, as possible. I personally believe that includes vaccines as well. The theory of vaccination does not offend me, however the preservatives and additives that the manufacturers use are synthetic chemicals and they can do more damage.

I'm sure an ND can help as well and will give you some additional information. In a city the size of Houston you should have choices.

God bless,

M.

Can you have him evaluated by your school district? I'm sure that districts in Houston would have an early childhood program and they may have strategies to help with his quirks.

Bless you for giving your heart and home to this boy! I things work out for you.

also jenny mccarthy has a lot on the topic. her son had autism and is now diagnosed as no longer having autism. go to you tube and look her up there are short segiments that explain her point of view on autism. also my nephew had autism and i sent my SIL the same info. a year later he is no longer diagnosed with autism. it worked for them. its a big change. but freeing your body of the posins and toxins and giving your sons body a chance to help heal itself is really key. hope this helps. hugs to you and yours.
