Has anyone heard of or used the Amby bed? I found it on the internet yesterday and it looks like a good idea for restless babies who don't sleep well (which describes my 4 1/2 month old boy) but it is very expensive. I don't want to make the investment without doing a little research first. Please let me know if you have experience with this product. Thank you!

this bed was a god send for my little one! I credit it for the sole reason i was ever able to get any sleep.

I have an Amby bed and I loved it! LOVED IT! My son was a very troubled sleeper, and we tried everything. When he was 5 months old, my Mom gave me the Amby as a gift. It was wonderful. Although we had to stop using it when he was 9 months - it was the best 4 months of sleep I had. I cried when we had to give it up.

I also loved the portability. I had to go to a wedding (with my son - but hubby couldn't go) I was able to take AMby with me (it's that easy to assemble).

It is expensive - but resll on them (ebay) is very good.

Just read some other comments posted. Don't worry about the rolling over factor - they can't do it. My son is/was VERY agile. didn't have any problems with wiggling out or rolling over. The "hammock" self corrects. The manufacturer admits that when the baby starts sitting up you need to be more viligant (ie, don't use it unless the baby is ready for sleep - and get them immediately when they wake.) We solved this by putting his crib mattress under the hammock. The fall wouldnt be that big - but having the mattress there mad me feel a bit better.

Anyway, good luck.

I have never heard of them, But I know what they look like, and if she almost 5 months, I think its kinda dangerous because she will be sitting up soon and rolling over by 6 months, and the bed will not be that good, Its kinda scary to think, what if she rolls over and couldn't get back over, or wiggles out of it. I would say stay in her crib. J.
