Has anyone used the Amby Baby Hammock? Did your baby like it? Any negative or positive information would be great! My 3 month old has really bad acid reflux and we are desperate for sleep. Thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you all for your input. To answer your questions...my baby was just put on prevacid. We are waiting patiently for it to work. We are going to try the Amby baby since he seems to be happiest in his car seat or swing. Thanks Again!

I have one if you would like it!!!!! We paid 300 for it a yr ago and our son used it for 5 months. I think it helped with the reflux at night. We also have the attachment for the jumping sling. I have no intentions on having anymore kids!! Although my hubby seems to be hinting around for a third.

If you are going to buy one, get it from Baby Center Store online. You can get it cheaper there and if it doesn't work for your baby (it didn't for mine), you can send it back anytime! We bought it for our 5 month old and I think it was too late, it might have worked if we tried it earlier. Anyway, Baby Center has the best return policy ever! You can return anything, at anytime, for any reason...no questions asked. (If you buy it directly from Amby there are NO returns...period!)

We didn't have any trouble with reflux, but we used it with our first baby and loved it. We put her in a crib by 4 months though because she insisted on sleeping on her stomach! We changed it to a jumper and put her in it (I think when she was around 5 months) and she really had a blast in it.

We are having no. 2 in February and plan to use it with this one too.

Try using one of those microwavable sock things. Warm it up then wrap it in a towel and place it just close enough for her to feel the heat. It works like a charm!

I haven't used it, but my baby boy had GER (gastro esophogeal reflux) so I know what you mean about no sleep. Have you talked to your Doctor about options with medicine? We used prevacid and it was a life saver. He out grew the need around 9 months and now he is not on it anymore. If his reflux is bad enough it might not just be plain old reflux. I suggest reading up on infant reflux (La Leche League has some really good info) and talking to your doctor about what you read. We tried everything before we opted for meds, but if it is GER the reflux is so intense environment changes alone might not help.

We bought one for my daughter and she hated it. She seemed to feel closed in and would panic as soon as we put her in it. What a waste of money for us! Luckily, I sold it on ebay, so we didn't take too big of a hit.

Break a peppermint in half and put it in a bottle of luke warm water. Shake it up for a minute or so. The peppermint does not have to dissolve. However, when nothing else worked, this old home remedy worked for me and several of my friends. Good luck. Sleepless nights are hard!
