Amazon Prime Day

Mamas & Papas-

Not sure if any of you use Amazon or Amazon prime, but apparently they are running a deal next wednesday which should put black friday to shame. We signed up for the subscribe & save when we were still in diapers and wipes. Having jumbo packs arrive via UPS on schedule was a blessing in that it was just one less thing to do.

Anyhow, any insight into what the prime day list might include? Will this be "leaked" like black friday circulars are? We need to replace our laptop. It is 4 years old and the screen no longer displays.

If Amazon runs a crazy great price, can we get Costco or some other vendor to match it? I've never done black friday or sought price matching before so I am so in the dark about these things, but if I can save a few hundred bucks, its worth a bit of effort for me.

Thanks a bunch,
F. B.

What can I do next?

No one on earth matches Amazon prices. I am trying very hard to keep from laughing out loud at this post because I am at work. Just because they have a banner saying prime day, more deals than black Friday doesn't mean more than anyone on earth or that they are actually good deals!

"Prime Day is a global shopping event, offering more deals than Black Friday, exclusively for Prime members. On Wednesday, July 15 new and existing members will be able to shop thousands of Lightning Deals, Deals of the Day, and will receive unlimited Free Two-Day Shipping. Members will find deals starting at midnight PDT, with new deals starting throughout the day, as often as every ten minutes. Not a Prime member? Try Prime today and get immediate access to deals on July 15."

They are lightening deals, just like what they run during Christmas and other times of the year. They usually come up 24 hours before you can buy them and it says when they are open.

Here is an example of today's lightening deals, you just click the deals tab.

We love Amazon. Been prime members for years. I think you'd be hard pressed to find better prices than Amazon, but if you do, just as them if they'll do it (the chat window is super easy to use).

Prime day is to celebrate their 20 year birthday. They regularly do lightening deals and deals of the day, but this day will have a ton more of that.

Those jerks are so good at separating me from my moolah. ;)

Target does match Amazon pricing but not sure if they will match an Amazon special price. You would have to ask.

you would have to ask costco or the other vendor if they would consider matching an amazon sale price. they may not be able to.
i want to know whats going on sale too... i have a list of stuff i would like to get and a few things we should get but don't want to spend a ton of money on so a great "black friday" deal would be great!

Walmart also price matches Amazon prices, although the process to do this has changed since there were some scams that took advantage of it when it first came out. They probably won't price match a lightning deal, but if there's a general sale for that day you might be able to swing it if you go the day of.

I've heard a lot of good things about Amazon Prime Day and the deals they'll have. I'm holding out hope they'll have a deal for a new car seat.
