We will be going to see the Alvin movie sometimes soon. And we have already saw the Bee movie. Both from what I understand have adult humor but what movie doesn't. We also went to see Enchanted. My daughters loved this movie. Again adult humor but they were cute movies.
Here are the reviews for each of the movies:

We saw the movie opening day and it was a blast! We arrived early since the movie was sold out, and actually made a friend while waiting in line. Our son just turned 4, and he absolutely loved it. You know it is a great kids film when all the children in the theater are giggling in unison!!! Enjoy!

Thanks everyone for your input on the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie. My 5 yr old wants to see it, kind of funny that he is more interested in characters that were around when I was a kid!

The Bee Movie would be better, I think for a 4 year old. My three year old sat through the entire show.

Have fun!

I took my 4 1/2 year old to see it last week and he loved it! I didn't see anything that I would call offensive. The only questionable part is when Alvin sings Chicka-wow wow, Chicka wow-wow during Dave's date...but they show that on T.V. during on the preview so I already knew about it. Hope this helps. :)

Bee Movie is a better storyline...more entertaining for parents. But I think Alvin was a real kid pleaser. My son was glued to it the entire movie.....about 3/4 into Bee Movie he was tired of sitting.
We just saw Alvin today so it's fresh on my mind.....
There was one thing I noticed in Alvin -- at the beginning one of the chipmunks said "stupid"....I hate hearing little ones say that word.
Another part of the movie...there was a reference to the Die Hard movies that only adults would get....one chipmunk said "yippee kiyay mamacita" instead of the actual curse word.

Bee Movie had some mild things, but nothing sticks out.
both are great movies for kids.
