okay, so my daughter just turned 4, she likes to play with real make up and usually does good. So she was just in her room playing dress up and decided to color her white carpet with bright red lipstick.....any suggestions on how to get this out?

What can I do next?

Whoa! Why is she playing with red lipstick unsupervised?? Are you crazy?? White carpet??? I'm panicking for you!

Try Oxy Clean- make it into a "paste" and dab it on. Leave it alone for 10 minutes or so and use CLEAN water to try and get it out. You may be in really bad shape here b/c of the wax in the lipstick. You may want to call a professional to attack this one- and hope that they can "repair" that spot and that you don't have to replace the whole room!

WOW! I would call a professional before touching it with any remedy. They may be able to tell you how to pre treat it until they can get there.

Good luck!

First, whatever you do DO NOT RUB it in!!!

Try dabbing some hairspray OR rubbing alcohol on it first, soaking up excess with a clean paper towel. Then dab some carpet cleaner, diluted vinegar or diluted laundry soap on it. Repeat as much as necessary. Finally, spray it all over with clean water and dab-dry with more paper towel.

My daughter plays with make-up too, but ONLY at the table where I can keep an eye on her and clean up easily :o)
