After You Shave Your Legs, You...

Put lotion on them? Baby oil? Nothing?

I'm looking for something new. I'm tired of oily lotions and smelly lotions and lotions that make my legs stick together. I've heard baby oil is good for your freshly shaved legs, but I don't want to get my clothes oily. I generally let my legs dry as much as I can after I shave, but I don't always have time. Is there a great product out there that you swear by?

Thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Not sure if anyone will ever come back to read this, but I found the BEST lotion ever. It's called Hempz original (they have a few), and it's amazing! It's not greasy at all, not oily in the least, and within a couple minutes of putting it on, my skin is super soft and smooth. I plan to stick with this one as long as they make it.

I use Cetaphil ~ the same lotion I use on my boys for their eczema. It's not greasy at all and soaks in quickly. I can't use the smelly lotions b/c I am allergic to them.

I also use my conditioner to shave. You don't need lotion after.

You should try it!

I use hair conditioner in the shower to shave my legs with. That seems to leave my legs moisturized after I'm done shaving and rinse it off. I don't put anything on afterwards...

You should put a good lotion on as soon as you step out of the shower and are still damp. It helps your skin retain moisture.

So, as soon as I hope out of the shower, I apply a lotion. My fav is Burt's Bees (Milk and Honey or the one with Mica - makes your legs look fab!). I never feel like it makes me sticky.

Or, you could try Neutrogena body oil. I used to use that but got out of the habit.

I use Kiss My Face lotion right after getting out of the shower. It's not tested on animals like most of the other lotions mentioned. And it comes in all sorts of great scents or unscented.

Actually, I have been using Jergen's lotion - the one that gradually tans you.

I like the way it smells and it doesn't leave an oily residue.

Aveeno lotions are nice also.

I also use my hair conditioner or a product called Coochie Creme (Yes, I'm serious) lol. If you do that, you usually dont have to use anything else when you get out of shower. It's awesome.

I love Burt's Bees Baby Bee Buttermilk Lotion. The scent and consistency are really light and smell so good without being overpowering. Burt's Bees apricot oil is also divine and absorbs very quickly and also smells good -- nice in the bath, too.

I spray the morocon oil that is meant for hair on my legs. It 'seems' oily or greasy at first, but it doesn't rub off on my clothes and it soaks in quickly.

I can't put anything on my legs for at least an hour (generally closer to 3 is better) without breaking out with red splotches and bumps. Generally on mornings that I shave, I am wearing a skirt, dress or capris to work. When I get to work, I put cocoa butter on them. I have tried using hair conditioner to shave and it works great, but doesn't help my exceptionally dry legs.

On the weekends when I shave, it is generally in the evenings with a hot bubble bath. I will get up the next morning and after showering I generally don't put anything on, but if I do, it's my oil of olay face lotion

I shave in the shower or bath. I love Enfuselle skin care. I use the Shower gel instead of shaving lotion. After drying, I apply the Hand and Body lotion. You hardly have to rub it in. It also has patented anti-aging ingredients. My husband often comments on how soft and smooth my skin is. Let me know if you are interested.
