A Place to Rent Audio Books

I hope this is okay to post. It's not kid related. My husband listens to audio books on his commute. He is in the car for an average of 10 hours a week and is asking for an audio book for Christmas. I know there is the library but he just doesn't have time to go. Like I am going to pick a book out for him-not. But I was thinking if there was a place like Netflix that he could just rent books as he finished them throughout the year that would be perfect. Does anyone know of a reputable place online?

Thanks.

I agree with the other posters, the library is the way to go. I reserve a lot of books and audio books online. They set the reserved books aside, you can pick them up and do self checkout in a matter of minutes. Very simple. If you are in Hennepin County: http://www.hclib.org/. You will need a library card first to reserve online.

I was going to suggest the library too. It's fast and easy. I've never gotten audio books from there but I know you can get them. I always reserve my books online and they send an e-mail when they're ready to pick up. You just pick them up and check them out. I'm usually there less than 5 minutes picking up and checking out.

It wouldn't really take that long to get books from the library. You can request them online and then they let you know when they're ready to be picked up. You just get them from the circulation desk and check them out right away. It's so easy.

I know my mom gets audio books for my grandma, but I think she gets them free because my grandma is legally blind. So I don't have any other solutions. Good luck!
