A Good Book for Dads Parenting Daughters

Have you Moms (or your husbands?), or you Dads, read any helpful books about parenting daughters (specifically for Dads)? I want to gently help my husband understand the importance of his role in our daughters' lives. He cares SO MUCH but sometimes is left baffled by the needs of the "Little Women" in his life. Any suggestions?

You are right Jo, as a parental UNIT, you will parent all of your children the same. However, surely you understand that your relationship with your mother is very different from your relationship with your father (I'm not aware of your personal family situation, but in general, this is the case). A father is the first man in a woman's life. She will model most if not all of her relationship choices after the role that he plays in her life. Healthy adult relationships start with a healthy father-daughter relationship. There are many books written on the topic. I'm just curious if anybody here has read one that is particularly helpful.

I second "Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters". I bought it for my son-in-law on the birth of our first granddaughter. I'd heard it was good but, before I gave it to him, I wanted my husband (a wonderful father of 4 girls) to take a look through it & tell me if he thought it would be useful. He didn't want to give it back & said he wished he'd had it many, many years before -- this from a guy who NEVER goes for parenting/self-help kind of books.

Maybe it is because I raise tomboys but I see little difference in how we parent my girls as opposed to my boys.

Could you perhaps define these needs for people like me?
