Please tell me that you meant your son is 8 MONTHS old, not 8 weeks? Cereal and fruit for an 8 week old? lol.
Other than that I agree completely with the previous poster. And don't forget a waterproof pad for the mattress.
My 8 week old boy is peeing through is diaper every couple hours at night. He is a good sleeper, he finishes off a bottle and goes right to sleep. Within 3 hours he is awake and soaking wet. I change him and feed him again - but he is falling sleep before the bottle is even half gone. Repeat in three hours. I am thinking he might not even be hungry and might sleep longer if his pee would stay in the diaper! I am thinking of putting him in a size 3 diaper tonight (currently he wears 2's) to see if that will help hold it in. He is just over 13 pounds already. Thought I'd see if any moms had any other suggestions. Thank you!
I didn't realize you could or should point his penis a certain direction, lol, we had girls the first go-round. His diaper isn't full either, which tells me his penis is likely pointing to the 'side' and going straight up his side and out. Thank you moms for your helpful suggestions.

We had to switch brands of diapers a few times when my son was little to find one that didn't leak. Is the diaper super full or is it finding somewhere to leak from?
How much does he weigh? I can't image a 2 month old needing a size 3 diaper, absorbency might not be your problem - especially within three hours. It's gotta be the fit making him soak through - switch brands or try a smaller size.
Also - Your 2 month old eats fruit and cereal??
8 WEEK old or 8 MONTH old?! Cereal and fruit? I'll assume you made a typo and meant month. In that case, my 8 month old does the same thing. So I put him in overnights. If he isn't in an overnight diaper, he will wet right through a regular diaper. Also, be sure you're putting him in the highest size he can fit into. Like, my son, needed to be moved up to a size 3 when he was 16 pounds even though they start at 17. He wet his clothing every time he peed when wearing the size 2s. Not sure why that is since he was still in the size range. ?? Anyway, that's my suggestion--overnight diapers! :) Good luck!
I would try the next size up diaper especially for night sleeping.
I change the diaper right before bed time even if he is asleep.
Hi S.-
They used to make something called 'diaper doublers'...It was kind of like a kotex pad that you put inside the diaper
I had a son that was often SOAKED at night...and putting a 'doubler' in really helped!
Best Luck!

I would say overnights (huggies) and a bigger size. Worked for us. Good luck and hope it will help him sleep a bit longer : )
