She is too young yet for what you are trying to do. She should still be on breast milk or formula. Her taste buds are not developed for a lot of flavors.

See how she is with rice and or oatmeal cereal. That is a good way to introduce her to food. And do not give her cows milk until she is around 1 year. It will cause her intestinal problems.

If you are not breastfeeding, then make sure she is on a good multivitamin for infants. I have one if you are interested. Just email me.

When you say milk are you saying breastmilk?? She is too young for cow's milk.

First of all you're not raising a baby cow so she doesn't need to drink the milk. It actually can cause her problems with it later. Have you thought that maybe she isn't hungry... or that she can regulate her food intake because she feels full? Is she looking sick or losing weight?

Remember babies will copy what you are doing. Open your mouth wide when feeding baby. Pretend to chew so she can see how to chew. Smile and cheer when baby takes a bite. If you have a negative attitude, so will baby. Also, 30 oz. of formula a day is plenty for a baby, offer food before the bottle, and offer it before baby is starving. For example, if you normally give her a bottle at 11, then offer the food at 10:45. Good Luck!

hmmm all i can say is to keep offering it to her every meal. what stage do you try to feed her and how long have you been feeding her solids. shes already on milk? you do know that your child shouldnt have milk till they are a year old. also your baby does know when she is and isnt hungry so if she will only take 4oz leave it at that. oh how often does she eat? maybe offer her a bottle in between meals. just keep trying you will find something that works!

Your daughter, unless she is sick or something, knows what her body needs. If she can't eat more than 4 oz at a time it's because that's what she needs. As for the finger foods- well, it's supposed to end up on the floor, that's how they learn! Just keep giving her different things until she gets it, and don't stress about it because if you're stressed she'll pick that up. You can't really increase her appitite, but the best way to encourage it is to offer plenty of healthy foods with some of it being healthy fats. Don't be tempted to try fatty junk foods, because in some smaller kids this can actually backfire and cause them to loose weight.
