Some places with party rooms that are not often considered...movie theaters, pet stores, bowling alleys, and craft stores.

It may sound overwhelming, but throwing a party at your home can lead to some great and unique parties. Evening parties are fun at this age...have guests come in jammies, have the party and send them home ready for bed! You could do slumber party games, etc.

There are a lot of mobile parties which come to your house and set up .. fairy tale princess, petting zoo, etc.

Good luck and have fun...what a fun age!

I love that Tea room on Main St. in Grapevine for a tea party. Just the cutest ever. Also, how about a cooking party at the Young Chefs Academy. I think they may have a location in Coppel which is close by.
Just a couple of thoughts.

Hello K.,
I just went to the neatest and best birthday party ever last weekend. My friend gave her daughter a "tea" party in their home. We were asked to wear Sunday type dresses and when we got there she had one of those huge cardboard playhouses that the kids got to color which kept the little girls very occupied. She then gathered the little girls on the floor and read the book "Fancy Nancy" to them. After they read the book she had each girl a present bag (which took the place of the party favor bag) and inside they dressed up like Fancy Nancy with tierras, white gloves, sunglasses, boas, etc. Each girl's bag had their names written on them but she added things like "Lovely Lauren", "Sophisticated Sophia" The girls were instructed to act fancy and call everyone "Darling" you know like "Dahling". We then proceeded to the dining room for a brunch , it was at 10 A.M. where there were mini sandwiches, fruit, and small cake squares all the food had little toothpicks in them. She opened her presents there just after while the little girls sat at the table all dressed up in their get up,,,,,cute pictures by the way. By the way, the mom reading the book, dressed up too, instead of a tierra she wore a floppy hat and had everything else. At the end of the party she gathered the little girls around and read the book "GiGi" a beautifully written and illustrated book about a little girl who's daddy always called her princess so she goes on a search for why she is a princess finding out in the end that she is a princess to God, he his her King, and someday she WILL get her crown. Wonderful party. First time I've ever been to a party that honored and glorified God. She also had her house decorated with that white net with pink and white balloons and pink and white flowers. It sort of reminded me of a wedding type netting. Cute idea!

Good luck.

My daughter's most memorable birthday party was her 4th when we did a dress-up, tea party. I collected a bunch of dress up stuff from friends, thrift shops, etc. You know, costume jewelry, hats, gloves, scarves, etc. I also had some old halloween costume dresses. I put everything in a big box and set up a "dress-up area" with the box, a full length mirror, etc. After dressing up I took group pictures of the girls, each one getting a chance to be in the front of the picture. Then it was time for tea. We did peanut butter and jelly finger sandwiches (cut out with cookie cutters, hearts and butterflies) and apple juice for the tea. My daughter served her guests. While they were having tea, I printed out the pictures I had taken. Once tea was over, I had fun foam picture frames for them to decorate. They glued magnets on the back and got to take home the picture with them in front in their new picture frame. Then cake and presents. It was SO much fun! I have done this for 2 of my girls so far and will do it for my youngest when she turns 4 as well. Best of all, it didn't cost much at all! And it was more memorable than when I took them places for their birthdays.
Have fun!

How about a party at Little Gym. They usually have party packages for just about any age group and number of participants. When my girls were younger (10 and 14 now), they loved it.

We host unique birthday parties that have become very popular. We typically have them at Meadowmere Park on Lake Grapevine, but we can go to other parks as well. We recently had one at the park on the left as soon as you cross the dam in Grapvine and it worked out well. If at Meadowmere in June, we'll already have our 40x40 tent up and everything ready for summer camp. For birthdays, we can offer Archery, Kayaking, Treasure Hunts or Geocaching, outdoor games, and more. Here's our website - www.AdventureTeamKids.com

We are hosting a party this Saturday at the park for twin 6 year olds then one for a 5 year old in a couple of weeks. We'd love to have you give us a try! Feel free to contact me with any questions.

If not for the party, consider us for summer camp! We now accept ages 4-13.

Many of the churches have indoor play grounds. The First Baptist Church in Grapevine is one of those. They are wonderful for your age group. The Glenview Bapt Church in Fort Worth also has one, I have not seen it, but it is called the "Tree House" they are less expensive, and accept donations. You have to call and hope they have the time availability. They are all very popular.
