Read them! It's a fun read and a good and different story line. Keep in mind that you will have to read them all. But it won't take long.
Enjoy!
Is it worth the read? I just went online to check its availability and price at my local book store and then read a few of the comments that ppl left after purchasing and reading the book and I know those are personal opinions but they all seemed to say the same thing - the book was very predictable, poorly written and edited and was a waste of time and money.
So ladies, what is your opinion? Do YOU feel its worth it to buy the book? What was your take on the book after reading it?
Thanks in advance and Happy Hump Day

I loved them and read them all on my vacation in May. Great read for someone who isn't looking for anything too heavy.
Very amateur writing and I found several grammatical & spelling errors. If I had to do it over I wouldn't read it. Not as smutty as I thought it would have been. I wouldn't spend any money on it. I got mine from the library.
I just don't understand how a publisher and editor could have let something like that be published. If you're looking for something smutty then read the blackdagger brotherhood by J.R. Ward. Those books are steamy & very well written.
On book 3. Find myself skipping over the sex scenes because they've become quite boring at this point. They're ok, I guess. I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. I suppose I'd be enjoying them more if I was sitting next to a pool or on a beach somewhere (then again, I'd enjoy reading the IRS Tax Code if I was next to a pool or on a beach).
I don't really find the characters riveting or interesting. I wouldn't say it's badly written and if one has never read this type of material, I guess these books would certainly be eye-opening. I much preferred A.N. Roquelaure's Sleeping Beauty trilogy (she's better know as Anne Rice, who wrote Interview with a Vampire, etc.). Now THERE are some books that'll get your heart racing!
its pornography. its sadomasochism and i dont support none of that. none in any way shape or form. just my OPINION and my VALUES.
I haven't read it. However, it's a spin-off of a poorly written teen vampire love story. (I have heard it's even more poorly written then the books the inspiration came from.) If you are looking for something of literary value...yeah...I think the obvious answer is too look elsewhere!!
If you like valuable pieces of literary work, you're barking up the wrong tree! If you want smutty, sex-obsessed, cheap entertainment...go for it!! (I'm basing that on what I've read about the book, and what friends who started reading it said.)
I had to see what the hype was all about, so yes I read (purchased) them. I enjoyed them and they were an easy read.
I read all 3 books in under a week. They are an easy read and a bit captivating. I enjoyed them. It wasn't the greatest writing, but it wasn't horrible.
You have to understand that it's modeled after the main characters of the Twilight series, Bella & Edward, only grown-ups & not vampires. If you can deal with that, then you'll be fine. If not, skip it.
It depends on your tastes, but I loved the series, couldn't put my kindle down. I read all 3 books in just under 2 weeks.
ETA~~And yes, just as Lauren V predicted was a possible side-affect, my husband very much appreciates that I read the books & the subtle turn that took place between us afterwards. ;)
I'm in the middle of the third book. Yes, they're very enjoyable. No, they aren't "sophisticated literature," but they're a great read if you enjoy a steamy romance with a bit of thrill and intrigue. They're great to read when you're needing to unwind.
They are NOTHING like Twilight. Not at all.
They're not really all that predictible. And the writing is decent, not poor.
I bought all three books, one after the other, and do not feel like I wasted my money.
90% of the friends I have who have read the books did enjoy them. I do too.
I am in the middle of the 2nd book and I absolutely LOVE it. Sure, it won't win any literary awards, but it's entertaining to me, and I love it.
ETA: I've ACTUALLY read the books (both 50 Shades & the Twilight books), and they have absolutely NOTHING to do with the Twilight characters. I know that the author got some of her inspiration from the Twilight series, and the original writings had references to Twilight, but the book, story & characters have nothing to do with Twilight.
It was a erotic read...but after a while the sex scenes just run into each other and you start skipping them all together...
The plot was pretty predictable as far as a romance novel in general is going to be predictable.
But it was a fun and easy read...if you enjoy erotic fiction go for it...if you don't like sexy-time books...skip it....in fact run... :-)
Oh and there are NO vampires in them at all....none, no supernatural stuff whatsoever...
Disclaimer: I haven't read it. However, MANY of my friends have, so I'll condense what they've said about it for you.
The main pro: sex-fest. Hubby will (apparently) thank you for reading all the sex scenes.
The main con: poorly written (and predictable, as you have said).
It's all about what you want to read. If you want to get all steamed up, then go ahead! LOL! If you want a well-written, coherent story with a real plot, then pass it by.
Good luck!
I heard it was a 'dirty girl book' as Iam permanently scarred for life from when I read Anne Rice's version of sleeping beauty when I was about 15 I dont read those those types of books, lol. That aside, all the girls at my work are reading it, most said its great.
eh, I will wait for it to get to half priced books or have it passed down to me. I am not much into romance, but erotica, that might be a bit interesting. But do to the large appeal to it, it seems like for erotica it would be tame, while maybe pushy the romance a little bit.
Agree completely with Nikki G....I LOVED the books! They definitely aren't the best written books ever, but they are very entertaining. Perfect summer reading!
Everyone I know who has read them enjoyed them. I haven't heard anyone say otherwise.
