D.B.
.
Was admitted into the hospital for a few reasons.
One of my concerns is when they were checking my cervic the Nurse said i was
50% effaced. Then said 'Thats not too bad for being 32weeks' I followed by
"But i'm only 24weeks" Then she didn't say much.
Is their a chance my water can rupture prematurely? With my first two pregnancies i was
only 25% a week before the one and about 50% two days before the second. Is their any warning
signs about how thin your cervic is? Do you loose alot of mucus? bleed? (of course if i see ANY blood at
theis point i'm heading straight back to L&D! lol)
I'm worried because not only don't i want him to come too early, but he has a serious heart condition-
coming early is really dangerous for him! They sent me home on limited bedrest.
Also wanted to mention that i am dillated but only half a cm.
.
I am sorry that you, your baby, and your family is under this stress.
I am 33 weeks pregnant and I was in L&D on Monday of last week. I was in alot of pain and they tested me to see if I was in preterm labor and then Tuesday it came back positive.
They told me that I needed to take it easy and stay in bed. They said that I need to drink LOTS OF WATER.
I wish you and your baby the best.
God bless.
First of all I think the best thing you can do for you and the baby is rela. Your doctor will let you know when and if to be concerned. I've heard of plenty of women losing their mucus plug early, being effaced early, even going weeks being dilated! Your doctor is not going to take risks with you, if you get into trouble he or she will likely put you on full bed rest or admit you to the hospital. In the mean time do all of the things you know are good, like keeping calm, eating right, drinking lots of water. All of these things are good for you and the baby.
I have had three kids and each pregnancy was different and the deliveries were all different. Each time something new were pop up I would get all worried and the doctor would have to talk me down. Just remind yourself that you and the doctor have a good eye on you and try not to worry too much.
P.S. Get some rest now, enjoy this pregnancy as much as you can because your new little is going to keep you super busy before you know it!
be absolutely diligent with sticking to the bedrest.....& allow everybody else in your circle of friends/family to do EVERYTHING for you. Learn to let go, learn to delegate. Give the baby the chance & time he needs.
Since he is already facing a serious medical concern, please put his welfare uppermost in your thoughts. & most importantly, try to relax - think positive, happy thoughts - & as goofy as this sounds, talk to him!
Peace!
