My 4 yr old son is potty trained for the last 1 yr .he never had any accidents after being trained. SInce last few weeks he is peeing in his pants sometimes on the bed(never when he is asleep). earlier he wdnt tell but now he comes and tells he has done pee pee and take off his pants. we have no idea what is causing this behaviour. He is diagonised with Aspergers syndrome and is hyperactive . he goes to normal school.
His diagnoses may or may not have anything to do with it. MANY kids have accidents at 4. My DD is almost 4 and sometimes she just doesn't stop playing or waits too long. I would go back to basics with him. See if it helps to remind him to take a potty break before bed.
Don't fuss at him, but have him help you clean him up. If it continues, take him to the doctor just in case it is a bladder infection or a UTI.

May also be a UTI - urinary tract infection. Although more common in girls it's possible... I might check w/ your Dr. to be sure. The Dr. can take a urine sample and test. If so, antibiotics will help.

The good news is that this is really common and most kids go through phases like this where they lose control for a little while, and then get it back again.
