Do you have a sandbox.....digging for dinosaurs would be fun.
My son's birthday is next weekend. We're having about 5 kids over to our house. Our theme is trucks/dinosaurs. :) So, what are some good things to do to keep them busy? I am going to make a race track in our hallway, I was going to make a playdough with trucks station. We live in Seattle so it might be rainy - but if its not we do have a backyard...
Any ideas? Have you done a scavenger hunt? Any tips on that?
Thanks!

Hi A.,
I love your playdough idea! Some other fun things I've done with my kids:
-bean bag toss
-ring toss
-build legos
-frost your own cupcakes
It sounds like you have lots of ideas :)
They have a reptile man here.. And yes that is his name. Reptile man will come to your birthday party with different reptiles that you can touch and he will explain them to you. You cannot keep them though.
Make a sign for the kids to swim in the prehistoric ocean, if you don't have an ocean a pool would work. Get a huge dinasour piñata. Dinasour masks would be cool as well. Sometimes I just wear mine for fun Sunday grocery shopping.
You can take almost anything that was going to be outside & make it
indoors. Just try to think outside the box.
Love the indoor racetrack.
-buy each child a Matchbox car (or generic brand 89cents - $2)
-hv them make their own race track flag to decorate (the black & white
checkered for example)
-by mini wood dinos or cars to paint
-make trees, rocks& a truck gas station out of cardboard that you paint
ahead of time & decorate your dining room or living area
-make a mini tabletop shallow sandbox that they can play with those
pastic dinosaurs, faketrees, rocks (like a land of the dinoaurs-type
landscape)
-hv them make their own gas station name badge. Get those plain oval
embroidery patches (at a Walmart) & write their name on them, put
velcro on the back so they can wear heir name badge)
-give them each a shoebox to decorate as their own "Land of the Dinosaur" take home. (Mini dinos, mini trees, rocks, use water colors to
make a lake)
