I would normally stay home,my kids would sometimes get a lil fever right after .So I felt more comfortable keeping them home for the day ..
How did your child feel after getting their 4 yr shots? Will it be OK to send my daughter to school (preschool) afterwards? Or should she stay home for the day? It's a 9:30am appt. Thanks!!

I would let my kids go to school. I know their apt times varied but it did not hold them up from going to school unless they were having a reaction.
My oldest would have been fine to go to school after (summer appt though so not an issue for us), but my second had a reaction so it's a good thing it was summer for him too. If she hasn't had a reaction before, I would plan on sending her, but let the school know she had shots so they can be aware if she does have a reaction.
Mine went to preschool right afterward, and was fine the next day, too. That sugar-free lollipop they offer at our doctor's office always seems to be laced with a little magic...
We kept ours home the next day. He seemed like he felt lousy.
I agree with Denise. If she's never had a bad reaction, send her to school.
Mine don't get them so its a non issue with us. My 6th grader has had perfect attendance except for 3 days since kindergarten. Im blessed with kids who are rarely sick and don't get vaccines or flu shots. Good luck.
At my DD's 4 year visit we did a DTAP shot and flumist. She went to daycare just fine next day.
I do usually try to schedule them for a Friday though, just in case they feel a little off afterwards.
Well mine just had hers last week, along with a flu shot so all together 4 shots.. Yikes. And she ran slight fever afterward, but we also had go get an x-ray on her finger right after, but she wasn't the happiest camper....
I haven't got them yet. My pedi said between 4-6 yrs or before kindergarten. Ill wait until she's 5. At her 1 yr shots she had no reaction and was just fine. If she's acting ok, I would let her go. Good luck :)
My daughter felt fine and went to school after her physical. She's never had a reaction to any of her shots, even the ones where she got more than one a time.
If you "let" a kid feel lousy you can "inspire" them to feel lousy.
Expect that she will do fine.
If she does lousy, THEN deal with that.
