My son seems to have developed a mild case of eczema, mostly on his belly and lower back, and a few small patches on his arms and legs. I am currently using Aquaphor after his baths, which seems to be helping, but I wanted to know if anyone else had any suggestions that would be appropriate for a 4 month old. Thanks in advance!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I have done a few thing different since I posted this. I switched his bath wash to Aveeno Soothing Relief Creamy Wash, and have been rotating between using Aquaphor, Vaseline, and some Aveeno 1% Cortisone cream. This seems to be doing the trick. Thanks for the advice!

I know my suggestion is kind of late. But I used melaluca on my son, he is 2 his eczema was really bad so i bought the cream and bath oil and he hasnt had it that bad every since. When I used it consistently he cleared up all the way. Since then he hasnt been scratching or anything.

Eucerin (daily replenishing lotion ) worked great with my son, I apply it once every day after shower..

There is a cream that was prescribed to my DD and I've been using it on her since she was about 7 months. It's a long name: TRIAMCINOLONE CREAM (or close). The pediatrician should know exactly what it is. It's a very powerful cream and I only have to use it on her a few times until the eczema is completely gone! Of course eczema gets worse in the summer. I hope this helps!

My daugther has eczema mostly on her back and arms. I use Aveeno with cooling menthol. It works great for her and she is 2. The doctor also prescribed a topical steroid cream that I only use when she continuously scratches one area.
