My dr had me take iorn suplements. Worked wonders! And the naps kept the pregnancy migraines away.

I think it's just your body's way of telling you you're gonna have a newborn soon so you better sleep now! LOL try taking a short walk in the morning so get the juices flowing. eat some high protein, high carb foods (PB&J is great! or try cereal topped with bananas and PB) that will help your body boost it's natural energy for the day. If it's possible, taking a short nap (no longer than an hour, or you'll wake up MORE tired)...like about 30 min. can refresh you. make sure you are going to bed and waking up at the same time every day, keeping your body on a sleep schedule helps you not feel so sleepy. And you may need to give up an extra hour of "me" time after your kids are in bed and just go to bed early! Just think of how much you will want to do that in a couple months when you have a baby waking you every hour or 2!

I was that way when I was pregnant with my daughter. My son was only 2 at the time. I would get up in the morning and get his day started and then go back to sitting in my bed. It got better after she was born.

You may be anemic. I'm 36 weeks and have fought anemia big time this pregnancy. I have still been anemic after iron supplements. It is my understanding that vit C helps absorption and calcium and antiacids decrease absorption. I try to catch a nap when I can. I'm counting the days down until the little one gets here. Then I'll be able to say, "I just thought I was tired."

Good luck and best wishes for a healthy baby!

You're going to be tired...and you need to sleep and rest as much as your other two little ones will let you.

It's normal to be really tired during pregnancy. I think I slept mine away. LOL. Just be sure to take your prenatals and you may need to add iron to your diet for an extra boost.

Hi Paticia,
I went through the same thing with my second and last pregnancy. It was horrible because I had a T. and a half yr old daughter to take care of. I would get up against my will and feed her breakfast then put a movie for her so I could sleep. I remember placing her right next to me so she would not wonder around. I had zero energy. My husband would come for lunch and he would bring food for all of us because I was just to tired.

Good luck,
Elisa

Normal to feel tired, but if you are concerned talk to your DR. Your vitamins might need to be changed.

My sister's doctor recommended Vitamin B-6. She takes a 50mg dose three times a day (try with meals); this keeps the B-6 in your system all day. Talk to your doctor to ensure he/she has no problems with taking it. Hope this helps.

Reintroduce the older sibblings to nap time, at least for you. Thier play spaces are probably still safe, but make sure they are super safe and then ask them to please play quietly for a few minutes. You dont necessarily have to sleep. This may help with the transition of the new arrival, it may just help you get some rest.

In addition to the great advice about the walking and eating tips, please remember to take your body's cue and rest.

I agree with everything the last person wrote...great advice...I was wondering if not sleeping through the night might also be a problem? Try drinking double strength tension tamer tea (has b vitamins)...my midwife's standby right as you're getting into bed...helps you get back to sleep once you're awake at night too.
With most of mine I just wanted to hibernate...but its hard to do that when the two year old is crashing about in the kitchen, isn't it? :) Good Luck! only a few weeks left!
Just read your bio...our 3rd baby was born on his due date...December 23, nearly nine years ago now...what a sweet coincidence!

Hi P.,
I slept so much I thought I had sleeping sickness. lol
It is just your hormones. It won't last forever. Sleep when the other kiddos are napping. If the 4y/o doesn't nap any longer, assign him a quiet time when the 2y/o naps, and get a nap yourself. Get to bed earlier. ;) C.

Yes I was supper sleepy too. Instead of red bull try takeing naps. It really helps. Your little one is growing and it takes alot out of you and trust me when everyone says, get your sleep in now, because the first three months all you get is a 20 min nap here and there. At least thats how it was for me. Good luck and get lots of rest. Congrats on your baby.
