30 Weeks Pregnant and Suffering from Some Very Painful Cramps.

My baby has slowed down significantly these past couple days and I've begun to have some very painful cramping. I am 30 weeks pregnant so it seems a little early to be feeling this way. I have a doctors appt. on Friday this week and am going to mention it there but I am concerned if something may be wrong. I'm feeling movement close to every 5 hours. It was almost every hour . Did anyone have this with their pregnancy. Should I go into labor and delivery? Thanks-

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks everyone -- I'm one who doesn't want to go in unless I HAVE to! I went in last night and found the baby is fine - which is the most important. Mom just has a UTI - ICK! Never had one before and I guess its very common with pregnancy. Watch out mama's! -- lol I'm miserable -- but thanks for the advice!

Can you call labor and delivery and talk to a doctor on call? They can tell you whether or not you should come it for an exam right away or wait it out.

I would absolutely at least make a call to L & D! I definately needs to be checked out! I would go today, soone rather than later, could be just fine but needs to be checked for sure!!!!! Take care and I hope all is well.

I would go in. Its always better to error on the side of caution. It will also put your mind at ease.

Ali,
they usually tell you that if you notice a change in movement you should go in...Friday seems a long ways a way. To be safe, I would go in to either labor/delivery or even call you doc office tomorrow and tell them whats wrong and they should be able to schedule you sooner or give you some recommendations/suggestions..
Good luck and I hope all is well with you and baby

Call your doctor or L&D unit! If in doubt, go in.

I'm sure everything is fine but they may want to do a non-stress test to make sure everything is okay.

Ali,
I would go in earlier than Friday..if possible I would go in to see the doctor by tomorrow. If you feel like something might be wrong, you are your best advocate and the sooner you are checked out the better. Good Luck!
