My son just turned 3 and has been potty trained for some time now. Recently we have noticed that he has only been going pee about 1-2 a day. He can go all day at preschool without using the bathroom. He drinks plenty of water and doesn't seem to be dehydrated. Any ideas what might be going on?
My daughter pees about twice a day, maybe three times. It amazes me. I need to go all the time!
Is he drinking a lot throughout the day? If not increase water intake and see what happens.
Sounds normal, kids at this age have amazing bladder control! My daughter is 3.5 and goes 2-3x's a day. Unlike me, since having a baby, it seems like I go ALL the time! Lol... I think we forget that when we are young kids, that we don't need to go that often.
It might just be normal sounds like my son, he only goes a few times a day. As opposed to his sister who goes like 20! lol!
My daughter is like this, and I was (and still am) the same way. Honestly, he might just have a very large bladder! If he starts getting urinary tract infections, I'd look into things further and talk to your doc.
My daughter is 4 and she pees 3xs max a day. She's fine and she drinks apple juice or chocolate milk only. If he's acting fine I say its ok. If something is wrong with him then same here because they go equally!
