3 Year Old Girl Birthday Party

I love the cowgirl theme suggested by the last mom. You can buy cheap party favors and crafts in that theme through orientaltrading.com.

My daughter is turning 3 in 2 weeks. This year we are doing a Barbie Island Princess Party. Last year, we did a Disney Princess Party (mostly because I found items at the .99 cents store).

For the past 2 years, we have placed little kids pool in the front yard. We have several different sizes for each age group and a spinning water Nemo. We had a couple of tables with crafts for the kids to do too. I made a copy of each of the princess from a coloring book for each of the kids to color. I also had some tents that connected (you could use boxes)that they could crawl through. They had such a good time and the parents and others had fun watching them. We had about 50 adults and 18 kids.

We had pizzas from Little Ceasars because they are $5 per pizza, bread sticks and I bought a salad at the store.

You could have the party at the park with a jungle gym close by. You could play games like water balloon toss, a scavengar hunt, tug-a-war, ect. Many of the party places have game ideas.

You could even serve peanutbutter and jelly at the park.

Pump It Up in HB is great for parties and cheaper if you are able to do it during the week.

We often have our daughters birthday party at the gymnastics center at the Ymca. It is much cheaper than the pump it ups and other places but allows for active kids and lots of fun for all. Parents can help their little ones if needed and my kids just love it. I just bring in pizza and veggie trays and juice and waters.

You could do crafts. I made an Elmo themed coloring book for the kids for them to design how they wanted. You could use things like glitter or stickers or if you have any party packs from other kids parties raid those for design ideas. Or just cut out pictures from a bunch of old magazines like pictures of hair or dresse for them to paste on with glue sticks.

I've also been having Tot races or Tot olympics. If you at home set up an easy obsticle course the boys will love it and even the older ones will just have them help out the younger kids.

You can even do a dance contest. I got my prices at the 99 cent store.

Also I almost forgot. I had some sesame street tattoos. They loved them. Even the adults started putting them on.

I love that you are so helpful with your niece. That is awesome. For a three year old girl and LOTS of boys - do a cowboy theme. That way it isn't too girly for the boys and it's still fun for her. Go get her a pink pair of boots and a pink cowboy hat. Everyone can show up in jeans and their best plaid they have. Easy and fun. Get some water guns and call it a day.

since there isnt going to be hardly any other kids, I would make her the princess for the day, buy her a terria << spell check, you know a princess crown, maybe a feather boa Pink of coarse, maybe a wand. Decorate the kitchen with pink streamers, I did not give my kids partys each year, but what I did do was decorate the kitchen for them streamers matching plates & cups, a sign saying there age, they loved it, did not even miss having a party, in fact to this day they would rather have the party room then presents. What you can also do is hang a pretty dress ( get one at a thift store ) hang it on the wall, make some cut outs of pink star put tape on the back of them and play tape the star on the dress game, blind fold of coarse, ... of coarse she wins well all the little kids do, a small bag of candy and goodies is fine. A cake at the grocery store for under $ 15.00 they can put her name on it for free with little pink flowers, you can have a coloring contest who can draw a picture of a princess.

How I miss the young baby girls parties, my is 17 now and would not allow me to dress her up in a princess outfit.

What a great auntie you are to care so much for this little one!! Very lucky for you both! :) How about a beach party or just a gathering at the park, no theme necessary. We had a bon fire for my little girl's 4th b-day and had a simple scavenger hunt for the bigger kids. They had to find something brown, green, alive, dead, smooth, bumpy, etc. I gave each kid a small sand bucket to collect things in and the prizes where little plastic medals I found at the party store. We also had the kids build a "friendship castle" out of sand and took their picture together by the sand castle. I used the picture for thank you notes, which everyone seemed to enjoy getting a couple of weeks later! We bbq'd hotdogs on the fire and had juice boxes and water along with small bags of chips. We finished with cupcakes. It was all very simple, enjoyable and very memorable.

You can always make her a special outfit for the day - princess' are always popular. A pinita is always good for both boys and girls. Put prizes in for different ages + candy. Since it has been hot its a good idea to have the kids bring a bathing suit and even if you just turn on the sprinkler... kids love it! You can do a carnival theme also, saw the idea in parents magazine. Good for both boys and girls and not too expensive. A bouncy house is a great idea but not too cheap. My niece and nephew have had these for the past 10 years and they keep the kids entertained for HOURS!

Girls love the Disney princesses and I think Dora the explorer is pretty popular?!

i gave a princess party, where we had a silver boa put in the shape of a door on the wall and everybody had to take a picture with the princess of the day(my daughter). the everyone decorated their own plastic goblet with gems and stuff you can buy them at the dollar store. after that we read a princess book and they had to search for plastic coins. the cake we just put her name on it(e.g. her highness princess Mary) and then a wand. also just put her in a sunday dress and give her a wand and a tiarra. she'll love it since she's only three. the food, we just had some wine(grapejuice in disguise) in the goblets and veggi tray with water for the adults. pretty cheap to get ready, hope you like it.
