Hi M. I wish I could help you but my 4 year old daughter still wakes up wet too. And now I make her change her bed and help me put it back together. But I am so tired of washing bed sheets everyday.
Hi..my 2 yr old is waking up wet, and I mean wet. I've been using the Huggies night time diapers but it doesn't seem to be helping. I even will change her while she's sleeping before I go to bed and she still wakes up wet. Any suggests of what I can try?
Thank you to everyone for the advice. I finally found the diaper doublers and haven't had a wet morning since. THANKS!!!!

Hi M.!
I have a 3 month old with the same problem! He wakes up wet, and I started using Diaper Doublers - sold at BabysRUs for 3 bucks for 30 of them. They look like maxi pads for women, and they just get put into the diaper for extra absorbency.
Good Luck!

My 2 yr old had the same problem, even after we went up a size in Pampers at night. Someone told me about Diaper Doubles and I tried them. They worked like a CHARM! (My son was very thirsty before bedtime and I just couldn't not give him fluids before bed.)
Change brands! Huggies didn't work for my kids! you can buy gift certificates on Pampers.com that make them cheaper than even Walmart brand!
My 18 mos was the same way. She was soaked - diaper and clothes! She's in a 3 during the day but I now put a 5 on her at night and we've had no problems! It solved the leaking.
Good Luck.
My son did that, too. We found Diaper Doublers to be really helpful.
Make sure u have a cut off time for drinks. I gave my daughter til 7PM every night. After 7PM she could not drink anything. It helped her a great deal. Even now, she is 4 yrs old. Sometimes she may slip up and wet the bed if she has something after 7/8PM. But only because she is too lazy to get up & go to the bathroom.
Hope this helps.
I had the same problem with my oldest son. I discovered a product at the grocery store called "diaper doublers". It's looks like a maxi pad but without the plastic lining and you put it inside the diaper and it doubles the absorbency of the diaper. I used them at night with the Huggies overnight diapers, while grocery shopping/running errands where I didn't have a chance to be able to change diapers & also when travelling. You can even use a couple of them inside the diaper. They worked like a charm & did the trick, no more leaks or messes to clean up! Just be sure to change the diaper as soon as you can to avoid diaper rashes or yeast infections for girls. Hopefully your grocery store carries them.
I was having the same problem. My daughter's problem was the fact that I was letting her have a sippy cup of a drink at bedtime. Try not letting her have anything major to drink right before bedtime...maybe even an hour before. If she needs something at bedtime give her a really small sip or two of water.
Hi -
try to stop liquids (except for sips) about an hour and a half before bed time. If that doesn't work, you may have to get up in the middle of the night. Has she showed any signs of gettig interested in potty training? You might try sitting her on the little potty right before bed. It might be a start. Good luck -- M.
Do you ever wake up during the night? To go to the bathroom or anything? Maybe just an extra diaper change during the night will help out until there isn't so much of a need to. After you go to the bathroom or whatever, peek in on her and give her a change at the same time as well if she needs one.
Hi M.,
Have you called your pediatrician? Good luck. D.
Babies R Us carries diaper inserts called Doublers that may add some extra absorbancy to her diapers. I use them at night with regular diapers and he doesn't leak through any more. It is basically like a big maxi pad that goes inside their diaper. They're only about $5 a pack.
Cut off any liquids after dinner time - except a sip if she is dying. At least 1-2 hours before bed if possible. Not sure if she is potty training, but my daughter went through a phase where she didn't go very much during the day, and then saved it all for night time. Could this be something she is doing?
Hi M.,
I had the same problem with my 2 year old. I found if I cut back to giving him only 1/2 a bottle or cup of milk or juice about an 1 hour before he goes to bed he does not wet through his clothes. I would try cutting back his liquid intake before bed and see if that makes a difference.
M.,
My son was waking up soaking wet every morning. We switched to Pampers and use a diaper one size larger than he wears during the day. This has worked like a charm and he hasn't wet through the Pampers/one size larger since we made the switch. Good luck!
When my older son (now almost 7) was your daughter's age, I experienced the same thing each morning and also in the middle of the night. Target and babies r us carry plastic, quilted diaper covers that seemed to help a lot. I also found that Huggies leaked more than Pampers for some reason. You could also try the waterproof pads that stretch across the bed, so you are not changing sheets every day. It'll get better......
Hope this helps.

We used to use a product called Diaper Doublers with my oldest (he's now 6) basically they were an extra layer ---almost like a big maxi pad---that we put in the diaper at night. I'm not sure if they are still available, but they were really helpful.
So, I used huggies overnights and went up a size or 2, which seemed to help. If that doesn't work, one thing you can do is give them more to drink earlier and then limit fluid intake in the last hour or so before bedtime. Good luck!!
If the diaper doublers aren't available and the liquid limiting isn't 100% effective either, I'll offer this. My friend tried the nighttime diapers because they were so great for my kids, but they never worked for her little one. She said going up a size in regular diapers at night was the trick for her. If you try it, I'll say that I also like Pampers for absorbency (esp. cruisers). Also, I think mine would let out a big flood of urine when they woke up, so some mornings if I could catch them before they'd been awake too long that would do the trick. I value my sleep too much and have little discipline for my own bedtime (hubby works weird hours and mine are 4 yrs and 18 mos, so we have strange pockets of time to see each other without crawling kiddos begging for daddy jungle gym). I still go with overnights and they usually work.
Hi M.,
I know what you are going through. I had the same problem with my little girl. We didn't cut all liquids off, but try to limit it to just water. We also changed her at around 11pm, and then once she was potty training we kept her in undies all day and nite so that way she HAD to go on the potty. Pampers Cruisers always worked best for my girls. They seem to have better soaking ability. Something to try so it is not such an ordeal changing the sheets is layering them. Try placing a matress cover directly on the matress, sheet on top, another cover, and anther sheet. This way when you wake in the AM (or if you were like us.. in the 2AM period) all you have to do is strip the top two layers of the sheet and cover, and you have a whole new set ready to go. Hope it helps!

Hi M.,
I know how you feel. It happened to me with my 2 1/2 year old. Almost every night!! I finally figured out that he was putting his hand inside the diaper, so I got some big onesies and could not do it anymore. It helped tons. i also stopped giving him a full sippy cup of milk at bed time.
Good luck!

Hi! I still have the problem sometimes with my 4 year old son. I like Nighttime Pullups. They are the only ones with enough absorbancy. They are sometimes hard to find though-not everyone carries them. I also have used my own maxi-pads in the diaper. I think this is a cheaper solution than buying diaper doublers and it works really well. Good luck!
Try limiting the amount of fluids she has at night. Maybe around 90 min - 2 hours before bedtime, no more fluids. I have tried this with my son, and although he still wakes up wet, it isn't enough that it leaks out of his diaper.
Try to not give her anything to drink 2 hours before bed and see if that helps.
You may want to double up the diapers at night. I have had the same problem..... 99% of the time the night time Huggies work.
Since your child is 2.. maybe pullups will fit???
stop giving her liquids about two to three hours before you put her to bed, change her diaper right before lieing her doen and try putting plastic pants on top of diaper,it will make it less of a mess to clean up when she does soak through. good luck.
