2 Yr Old Takes off Diaper/pull up During Nap Time

Just recently within the last two weeks, my 2 year old has begun to take off her diaper or pull up (whichever one she has on that day)during nap time. I am in the process of potty training her and she really is doing amazingly well. She will tell me when she needs to go potty and she'll go. But when I put her down for a nap, she will be fine. I will not hear her on the monitor, but then she will call for me. I will go to her room only to find a wet diaper on the floor, her bed wet, and herself as well. She will have put her shorts back on though. I have tried talking to her and letting her know that it's ok for her to call me when she needs to go potty even during nap time, but obviously, that hasnt worked. Do any other moms out there have other suggestions?
THanks

Try putting her diaper on backwards. My daughter is two and half and we let her go to the bathroom before she goes down for her nap and don't put anything on her but her panites and she don't have any accidents.

Put her down to sleep in one piece PJ's that zip and have the flap that snaps. If she can get those off then put them on backwards. I have know plenty of people who have done it and will do this if my daughter takes her diaper off too. You may have to look on the internet for her size but you can find them. Baby Gap usually has some too. Good luck!

If the diapers are wet, too, are you sure that she's not just waking up because the diaper/pull-up leaked while she was sleeping, and then she removes it before she calls you in?
I suspect this is just something she can't control yet--if she's doing fine otherwise with potty training, I kind of doubt that she is waking up dry, and *then* wetting her diaper and bed before calling for you. Her body probably just hasn't learned yet how to wake up when she needs to potty (or "hold it" until she wakes up).
I know with my youngest son, I've found that the pull-ups leak terribly if they get even a little wet, so we only use them while he's awake, and use more absorbent diapers whenever he's sleeping. It helps somewhat, although it seems that no matter the brand, the larger-size diapers still tend to leak sometimes.
I do agree with Julie to be sure to have her go potty right before naptime, and maybe cutting out any liquids an hour or so before naptime would help, too.
There are plastic liners available that you can use for her bed to help protect it in the meantime.

In regards to taking the diaper off, you might try putting the diaper on backwards for nap time. This will make taking it off a little more challenging. Good luck!

Does she not go potty before naptime? We always had my daughter go potty right before nap, then she never had to go during naptime. Worked well for us, same with bedtime. Non-negotiable, potty before nap and bed. Other than that and fett y pjs, I have heard that duct tape can usually keep a diaper on and foil the kids.

My 2 year old did the same thing so now I put her potty chair and a clean pull up in the room with her and she changes it herself and uses the potty if needed. Try that maybe it will work for you.

Put her in pull ups...it'll make her feel more like a big girl.

My daughter used to do this when she was 9 mos old in the crib still and I had to revert to putting her in one-piece outfits to save my sanity... I would hate to tell you to make it more difficult for her to go to the bathroom when what you are trying to encourage is for her to do that...but if you have to, you might consider some bib overalls.

My kids are both potty trained for daytime but we still haven't mastered night time so we where the good-night's pull ups b/c they seem more absorbant. If the beds are chronically wet, use the diaper mats and double or triple make the beds with the mats inbetween...then all you need to do is tear off the top one and you have a made bed...;) Can you tell I hate making beds in the middle of the night? LOL
