A.S.
I don't know what it could be but I would call the office and see if they can get you in before Friday because of it. I know check ups are done at certain times but they might be able to do it a few days early since this problem has come up.
I know she must have some sort of infection although not itching or complaining about it one bit. Just wondering if anyone knew what it would be called or what the Pediatricians do for this? Prescribe a cream? How did she get this? Damp and darkness in her diaper? She has a Dr.s appt. next Friday - my husband says wait till then since it's not bugging her - what do you think? Few dots here and there already for a few days - today she has many! This is our first girly infection - just asking before I call.
I called and they said to buy Dr. Smiths ointment. It has some anti-fungal cream in it as well and they said if that didn't work to bring her in. They said it sounded like a yeast infection. Thanks! If it doesn't help it, we'll be going in before next Friday.

May be a yeast infection if it kinda looks like diaper rash but your usual creams do not work. My pediatrician prescribed a cream, but also said i could use an over the counter cream. Try to keep her as dry as possible & keep her diaper off for a while if possible. I never knew babies could get yeast infections until my 2yr old got one. They are a lil different than when we get one. Good luck!
Hi Heather I just went through this with my 2 year old daughter and it was a yeast infection. I was given a cream and she had a horrible reaction, still has scars from the sores it created, so they gave me and oral medication and it cleared up in 2 days. Hope this helps
may be a yeast infections. I have two little girls and both have had them. We were told that it's from the heat/moisture in the diaper area. We were prescribed a cream and it worked wonderfully. Neither of my girls complained about the infection at all. With the oldest, I was at a well check for her and the DR told me about it,I was shocked...it never occurred to me that a little girl could get this. :) I would just call your Dr and talk to someone so that if it is something more serious you can get it taken care of. Good Luck
