Me and my husband were sick on Sunday night and were puking and everything all night long. my daughter started puking the same night but only like twice. since then everynight she pukes in the middle of the night. we have no idea why. she is fine all day long and then she wakes up screaming and just pukes. and then she sometimes doesnt even wake up to puke she just lays on her back. so we have been trying to check on her through the night. but we are running out of idea. she isnt in a crib anymore. she is in her toddler bed. her room is right across from ours. so we can see her in bed. she has been warm. but no for say temperature

What can I do next?

Have you tried elevating the head of the crib?

I would call the pediatrician's office. Have you taken her temperature? Any fever?

Do you have a video monitor? Those things are awesome for checking on kids without disturbing them.

Does she complain of having stomach pain? This happened to my daughter and it was because she was constipated...all backed up. The doctor felt her stomach and felt how hard it was. Then he did an x-ray and she was very backed up. The food had no place to go but out of her mouth. Either way, bring her to the doctor.

Is it possible that the bug (stomach flu) is still in her system?

What does her pediatrician say about this?

Does she have a cough....my son at this age would cough and then puke...evidently he was tripping his gag reflex.

It could be possible she's getting too warm. I know my husband gets that "ick" feeling if he gets too warm at night. You can try, putting her to bed with no pajamas on, or with just a light t-shirt.

I'm not sure what you can do to help her stop retching, it's sort of an uncontrollable reflex. You can get a plastic cover sheet and cover the bed, help make clean up easy. You can even limit the amount of anything that's in her stomach before bed. Smaller portions or lighter foods, toast, apple sauce. A few days of super light dinners won't hurt her.

Good luck.

IDK-think its time to go to the doc and ask them. I was going to say reflux maybe but it appears that this just started which I guess its possible but usually if its reflux they have suffered through it for quite some time.
She could be getting gagged during the night such as spit if she has a cough right now that might set it off......that's why I say time to see the doc....too many factors here.
