It's minor but frustrating. My 2 1/2 year old toddler has a few blemishes and pimples. Not sure what the cause is...maybe sunscreen or possibly the cream I'm using to try to clear it up?? Does anyone have a recommendation to help get rid of it?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you all very much for your help and insight! We finally figured out what was causing the blemishes. Our daughter likes to rub her face with all sorts of things such as plastic toys and blankets as well as nuzzle herself in the cushions of our veleour couch. As a result, her very sensitive skin would turn red, as though she had some sort of contact rash. At first, we were not sure what was going on so we put on different creams to help sooth her rash, which in turn, caused the blemishes. Since then, we have covered our couch with a sheet and have been constantly reminding her to not rub her face with objects. Easier said then done, but it has made the difference! Though, her skin is so sensitive to touch which makes it very hard to control!

My three-year-old kept getting awful breakouts on his chin and I couldn't figure out why. Then we realized that his floatie swim suit was rubbing up against his chin, making it break out in painful pimple-like blisters. We think he has a latex allergy/sensitivity and that's what was aggravating his poor skin.
His skin is sensitive in general, and we fight minor eczema. I don't think there's anything better out there than Paula's Choice products. No frills, but no irritants, either, and totally effective. You can see that Web site at www.paulaschoice.com. She has a "Battle Plan for acne" and a "battle plan for wrinkles" listed, as well as science-based reviews of many cosmetic products.
Good luck!

Some products on the market have mineral oil in them. Mineral oil does not allow the good elements of products to get beneath the skin; the elements just sit on top/clog pores. Arbonne International has pure, safe, beneficial products for all ages, and has a baby care line (even great for those adults with sensitive skin). All our products have a 45-day money back guarantee. If you would like to have more information on the baby products, please contact me through our website, www.feelpure.myarbonne.com, and Contact Us. I am happy to give you more details about it. These baby products could be beneficial for your little one's skin and everything is botanically-based (no chemicals, no animal products, vegan).

I was told by my Dr. that anything over 50 SPF will clog pores, especially on the face. I have been using 15 SPF, a hat and just re-applying more often.

Keep the area clean and free of lotions and such. Steam the area with a very warm washcloth, remove the washcloth and immediately wash the area with a natural soap, rinse with very warm water and then again with very cold water.

I have to do this twice daily on my face as I have very oily skin that is acne prone. The steam from the heat opens the pores to allow for cleaning and the cold water snaps the pores closed to prevent more dirt/oil from getting in. If done consistently, this does work. Good luck!

Make it a GREAT day!
