My daughter was diagnosed with diabetes two months ago.We knew that there was something wrong. From one day to another she started asking for a lot of water she would drink water but not alot.We didnt think anything of it at first because we thought ok she just learned to say water maybe its that. Then came wetting her bed at night which had never happened yes she has a pamper but it was going through, to the ponit one morning it was even all over her hair (poor thing). At this point we were going on two weeks like this so I made an appointment to go see the doctor. We went to the doctor the next day they ran some test and I already knew there was something wrong before the doctor came in all of a sudden everyones face changed. From that moment on my life has completely changed we were sent straight to the hospital.By the time we got to the hospital her sugar levels were at 611 which it should really be around 70-100.The specialist told us we were very lucky and thank god we went with are insisting. Now we have to check her blood four times a day and we give her insulin twice a day.It has now been two months and we are doing pretty good we have adapted to the new things and how to control it and what she could and cant eat.I just wanted to share my story with all of you I know that it could be wrost so believe it or not I still feel very Blessed.Thank You all for reading.

Believe it or not when my husband was 35 years old he was diagnosed with Juvenille Diabetes!!!! We had to rush him to the emergency room because he almost went blind!!! He was in the Army for 17 1/2 years and because he was soooo physical and in good shape they never diagnosed it and a year after getting out of the Army and not being so active this happened. Truse me, believe it or not you are lucky to have caught it so young so she will grow up with "good" habits, eating and otherwise. She will be fine and might even "outgrow" it.............There is TONS of info out there AND support groups. All the best to you--God Bless............

BTW, I always change my kids diapers during the night otherwise they would be drenched every morning! I haven't found a diaper yet that would EVER make it through the entire night ;-)

Hello T. ,

My nephew was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes when he was 3 . I can't come close to think how difficult it is . BUT at least it is treatable . I have two boys and they have asthma . My youngest boy has it pretty bad in the point that he has been in the P-ICU ( 3 X ) It is very scare when they are gaspiong to breath and they can't. Like they say we are quite lucky , because there are worst things out there . The best piece of advice I can give you Educate yourself about the desiase , so you have a better understanding to help your daughter , make yourself an " Epert" to say about the desiase . For my sister puberty has beeen a bit difficult with my nephew he is 15 now and he has been on the insulin pump since he was 8 or 10 . I wish you luck and lots of streangth to help your child .
Good Luck ,

Keep us posted !!!

Best Wishes ,

~ A.

Hello, My son now twelve, has been diabetic for two years now. I feel you, it is not easy. But always look on the bright side, this is manageable there are other things out there that are not. Is anyone in your family diabetic? My mother in law is the only one on in our family. I was not even aware kids could get diabeties. In the first year they go through the honeymoon stage, a little easier to control the diabeties. After that it gets a little harder. If you have any questions feel free to let me know. I can give you advice on what we have been through. My advice is read as much as you can, everyday new things come out. And I dont know where you live, but Publix has the most sugar free foods. God Bless and Good Luck.

Hi T.,

I read your story and I can tell you I've never heard of diabetes on a 18 month young baby. I sincerely suggest that you learn of a wonderful natural and patented product to control sugar levels that has been in the PDR (Physician's Desk Reference) for Non-Prescription Drugs for the last 5 years. It is Tranfer Factor Glucoach. You can visit the following web address: http://wandyaponte.my4life.com Please click on Products and look under glucoach on the left. You could also print out the product Profile Sheet.

If you need more information, please get in touch with me at my email address: ____@____.com or my cell. number ###-###-####.

I know of so many testimonials on this product, many people have lowered their insulin intake. Some have even stopped taking insulin. Babies can take TF from their second week of age.

My Godchild is a 13 month young baby girl (my cousin's only baby girl) who was recently out of the hospital with pneumonia. I immediately recommended my cousin to give her baby Transfer Factor Plus Tri-fator (about 3-4 capsules a day, one capsule at a time dissolved in her baby food) and it's amazing how fast she responded and how healthy she is. My cousin started giving the product to her baby at the hospital. Many physicians recommend and prescribe this wonderful products. Other don't since they feel that there's a lot at stake for them ($$$).

Wishing your baby great health. Have a fantastic day!!!

Hi T,
My son was diagnosed with diabetes about 3 months ago, and he was 17 months old as well. As well we also new something was wrong with him. My son would drink large amounts of water as well and was always hungry. He also started wetting his bed and soaking through his pj,blankets and everything els every time he laid down for a nap or went to bed. He then broke out with a very bad rash. I took him to the doctors where they ran blood test on him as well, and told me that he was diabetic. He was also over 600 when he was diagnosed and his A1C were 11.3. He spend 4 days in ICU. We were checking his blood sugar leavels 6 times a day and insulin shots 5 times a day and a shot of lantus at night. We are now on the pump and it works wonders. I dont know who you have as your endocrain doc but you should see about the pump. The eariler you start the pump the more natural part of there life it becomes. His is water proof, he can take a bath and swim come summer time. He gets his pump changed every 3 days, so no more shots. I wish you the best of luck with your child, i know how it can be hard and it forever changed your life! God Bless!
