This past week and a half have been kind of rough for my son and I. Normaly he hardly ever cries and lately he has been a littly more fussy than usual, he ran a small fever for a few hours one day about a week ago, his drooling has got our of hand, he constanly has his hands or bib or toys in his mouth and now for the past 2 nights he doesn't want to sleep, he trys to fight it hard but when he does it is usually about 2-3 hours past his bedtime and he wakes up like 3 hours later, usually he falls asleep around 9-9:30 and doesn't wake till 8 am. I am a stay at home mom so I make sure his routine everyday is the same, wakes up, change clothes and diaper, eats, plays, cat naps etc. until 8 then its bath time, bottle with some baby cereal then to sleep he goes at 9-9:30, I kind of think he is teething but when i feel his gums i dont feel anything plus isnt it to early for a baby his age to teeth? Anyone with any ideas or tips please??

What can I do next?

F., it sounds like the initial stage of teething. Drooling is a definite, and so are the putting of objects into his mouth. My doctor once told me, that it was o.k to give Tylenol or other type of non asprin to your children if they are teething. Why don't you call the pediatrician and see what he/she says. It's sounds normal.
Good luck and try to rest when he rests. You will need to revivie yourself as much as possible.

Teething and it's never too early. We give blueberry flavored liquid calmag from Bluebonnett to our kids with Calms Forte 4 Kids and it helps with teething A LOT. The teething tablets worked with baby #1 for pain, but didn't touch it for baby #2. We've never used painkillers for our babies. Calcium is a natural painkiller and nervous system relaxant.

Baby #1 would get a fever of 105 for 40 hours, a runny nose and then teeth would pop in and fever dropped and the nose stopped running. The pediatrician told me that doesn't happen....well, it does. This baby was the on;y one to have those symptoms, each and every time. He got teeth at 8 months, but started teething at 6 months.

Baby #2 had teeth at 4 months and started teething at 3 months.

Baby #3 got teeth at 12 months and never really had symptoms of teething.

Baby #4 is now almost 7 months and has been drooling like nobody's business since he was 3 weeks old. No teeth yet.

Both of my kids had their first tooth pop through right around 4 months , so no, I don't think it's too early for teething!

The sleeping patterns of infants go through many changes over the first year of life. While what you describe may be symptoms of teething, it may just be that the baby's brain is maturing and causing sleep disruption and problems falling asleep. This stage doesn't last forever, but it can be challenging. I encourage you to not hold to tightly to when you think he should be sleeping and just do what seems to work for him. Drooling at 3-4 months is often blamed on teething, but it is usually caused by a change in the digestive system preparing them for digestion of solid food. If you are tempted to try Hyland Teething Tablets, please research their safety. Lots of things are "all-natural" but neither helpful or safe. I'm a little jealous that you already enjoy a full night sleep. My little ones never slept through the night until around age 2. Research says that sleep patterns are related to genetics--I'm doomed since both my sisters experienced the exact same with their children. Nurse Midwife Mom of 3
