If she likes cooking, you could take her and a few friends to The Dinner Station (or Souper Suppers). They do parties. www.thedinnerstation.com
Hello All,
My daughter will be turning 12 soon and we have had just about every type of party you can think of! Does anyone have any ideas for a "pre-teen" party? Her interests are basketball, science and cooking. Thanks in advance.
Thanks for the response...I have gotten some great ideas.

I also had another idea, when my son turned 3 we had his party at Let's Jump. It's a two hour party that's full of bounce houses, inflatable obstacle courses and slides, etc. The thing is though the adults got to play for free! My 17 year old sister in law and her boyfriend loved it so much they told me that they wanted to have their 18th birthday party there! Even my mother in law said that she was so glad we did his party there because she herself had so much fun! I don't know who had more fun, the parents of the kids or the kids themselves! You can have two packages, the first one is up to 15 kids, the second is 16-25 kids. You get the whole room to yourself too. 45 mintues in one room then you switch to another room for another 45 minutes. Then you get 30 minutes in the party room where you get to eat, eat cake, open presents, etc. I wish this was around when I was a kid because I would have had my parties there! Here's the link:

My daughter went to a 13 yr old b-day party at Super Suppers. They had a great time. I prefer Dinner Station food, and maybe they would do the same thing.
What about having a party where you provide the supplies for simple science experiments (see kids book on simple science experiments) and they "create/invent" their own party food. Cooking is science!
For my sons 10th birthday party we went to Embassy Suites in Dallas directly under High 5 interchange on service road of Central. Anyway, I think that you could have up to 5 kids, you get a free PPV movie and Large pizza. They have an indoor pool, raquetball court, basketball court hot tub complimentary bfast. We arrived around 5:00 in the evening and hung around the hotel untill 12:00 the next day. The hotel is used to kids having parties so they were a little more understanding when my boys were caught playing elevator tag etc. It gave them a sense of freedom. I stayed the night with them, I brought M&Ms and snacks and board games. I also brought pool toys and little balls and they played dodge ball with them in the raquetball court area. The best part was that I didn't have to clean up the mess. My son tells me it was the best birthday ever!

Visit my neighbor's website! Your daughter will probably love this if she loves cooking! From what I understand the kids and parents both love it!
