Boys can have erections from birth.
He needs to learn discretion and you need to learn to knock first before entering his room and invading his privacy.
I know that I have seen mothers on her post about catching their sons masturbating. Just recently I have caught my son sorta masturbating, I understand boys will do this, but it is how he was doing it that is confusing me. What caught my attention was that I could hear him from his room, you know making noises and went to see what was going on. When I got there he was laying over his bed corner, like humping his bed corner. Yes he had an erection and was enjoying himself. I believer it was his first time in a moment like that. I am just confused about what to do, should i say something, is this normal for a boy his age to do it like that? Thank you for any help that you can give.

Hahahahaha! Mastur"bait"ing. I see what you did there.
And "Mount Joy." Oh, that's funny. I bet you can't WAIT to tell all your school friends about how you trolled a parenting site.
ooh dear Lord...can I call troll?? I feel like I'm being "baited"....lol
Can't spell...and from "Mount Joy" on a post about masturbating....
IF this is real - what help are you looking for? TALK WITH YOUR SON!!! Ask open ended questions.
Why are the wankers always from Mount Joy?
What's he fishing for with that BAIT?
Trolling is a lot like 'masturbaiting'...
Feels good in the moment, but never really as fulfilling as 'the real thing'.
Plus trolls and 'masturbaiters' both have hairy palms, right?
Nice spell check there.
Here's a question from the other day about a 6 year old boy. The answers will probably help you as well.

Kids find all kinds of positions that are pleasing - sometimes they discover it by accident and then continue it. So the pressure from the bed corner is not much different from sitting on the arm of a chair or (especially for girls) sitting under the running water of the bathtub.
Your main points should be: it's normal, it's private, it's something you can discuss with me or Dad or the doctor, and it's nothing you share with your friends or teach them how to do.
Hi, I have a friend who has a son with Down's. He was a teen when she heard him in the shower. He hits it and slaps it and basically hurts himself to get off.
I went over one time to do something and heard him and asked what it was. She was so embarrassed. She said "What am "I" going to DO!!!!! It's not like I can open the door and say "Hey, it goes like this"...lol.
She didn't know how it would turn out if he told anyone "My mom showed me how to masturbate last night". So she left it as he was.
I told her that sex ed would be a good thing for him because they can legally teach them how to do some of that stuff, via videos, posters, diagrams, etc...
It is normal for boys (and girls) to masturbate in any number of positions and with various aids other than their hands. Just remind him to keep his door closed, and remember to knock before you enter his room.
