I am looking for a great place to get pictures taken of my baby for her first birthday. I have always just gone to Target or Penny's but the last couple of times I have been disappointed. I was thinking about Picture People but I talked to a couple of friends who didn't have a great experience for the price. I am willing to spend more then I would at Target but I want some great pictures. Any suggestions?

We like portrait innovations too. They have a great $9.99 package, although I usually get more than that.

we go to portrait innovations and always have nice pictures. They can be expensive, but if you buy 3 poses you get the cd of pictures for free.
I like Picture People personally, but they are a bit pricey. I have always used the one in OP Mall. I think they take great pictures and they make nice enhancements too. The other really nice thing about them is you get your pictures the same day. I like that b/c then I don't have to remember to pick them up and lug the kids back into the store! They almost always have coupons that offer 20% and a free 8x10, so ask around your friends, look on line or maybe even call the store. If you get on their mailing list soon, maybe you'llget one before your appointment.

I've seen a few recommend Portrain Innovations. There is one at the Boardwalk off of Ambassador Road in the Parkville area. A friend has used them a ton of times and they always get great pictures which is hard with her son, he's a pistol. They sometimes have coupons in the paper also. There prices aren't too bad either. We love Portrait Innovations--I do recommend being one of the first in the day if you go on a Saturday to avoid the crowd and possible backup on time.
i agree with some others Portrait Innovations is good - i have been there a few time and been happy with their pictures. there is one out in lees summit also - good luck
