So this not really a question. We just found out yesterday that we are expecting our 4th boy!! Yea!! I am starting to feel a little over whelmed. Me in a house with 5 guys!! When in the world am I going to find "my time". Though I am totally confident that I can handle it. My boys are awesome, funny, pains in the butt (but what kid isn't at some point. hehe), get along when they want. And another big plus we already have EVERYTHING!! I was wanting to see if there were any other moms out there who are "out numbered".

Edited: Don't get me wrong. I LOVE my all my guys. And I look forward to all the sporting events and stuff for them. Our oldest starts school next year. And yes the weddings are a plus, hehe.

What can I do next?

I'm the Mom of two boys. A friend told me before my sons were born..... a woman with only sons, that it was kind of cool being the only woman in the house. There can be perks and it's a great opportunity to teach boys how to be good to women so that they will have healthy relationships later in life.

I do admit sometimes I miss the "idea" of a daughter. Someone that would understand the idle chatter of women. No one will shop with me either. I find having sisters/girlfriends to be really important.

My best friend has 5 boys and is so blessed. She wouldn't know what to do with girls.
She is always at some soccer or baseball game, scout event.
Her house is a fun place. It's wild. Her boys are 20, 19, 15, 10, and 3

Other than my mom, I was the only girl (and eldest) of 3... my brothers and my dad ruled the roost ;) All I can say is, when I hit my teenage years, I begged and bitched until I had my OWN sink in the bathroom I shared with my brothers, my own room, and I was NOT doing any 'guy chores' (cutting the grass, taking out the garbage, cleaning their pee from around the toilet... I STILL refuse to do these things)... Find one area of the house to make your own. Until they start getting married and you have DILs, good luck, I feel your pain ;) Now she just had a girl, and I had a boy, so we're finally even ;)

AND, one of my girl friends had 3 boys (2 are twins) and I had 2 girls... we used to swap kids for the day, just to get a feel for the other sex, LOL!!

A lady my husband works with also has four boys. She LOVES every second of it!!! Her boys are a little older now, I think the youngest is in second grade and oldest is in 8th. There is not a day that goes by where she doesn't have at least one sporting event to attend. The other day we were talking and she looked at my two baby girls and said "thank God, He didn't give me the girl I wanted. I don't know what I would have done with a girl" haha I feel the same way about boys!

Good luck with all your boys, and think about all the weddings you won't have to pay for! :)

My friend actually gets more "my time" I think because she doesn't have little girls. She usually gets to go to the store by herself, and gets a couple of pedicures a month (guess who doesn't want to go with her?)

My guy friend Jason got married then got diagnosed with cancer so they froze some swimmers. They did the invetro and got 3 boys. When the tripets were 1 wife decided she wanted just ONE more and with this new drug out there was like 1 in a million chance she would have multiples, but she ended up with twin boys. Yikes. After the twins were born she some how got pregnant (hubby was diagnosed with cancer and had the entire treatment process so they assumed he was shooting blanks), but when the twins were a few months old she got pregnant with yet ONE more boy. She now has 6 boys all under the age of 5. It is a crazy story, but they wouldn't trade their crazy life for anything.

Wow! A barber shop quartet! A four-man basketball team!

When I was a teenager, the family next door to us had four boys. The mama used to get her girl time by coming over and talking with my mama!

You might get a kick out of reading an old (1960) kids' book called GOOD OLD ARCHIBALD by Ethelyn Parkinson. You might be able to find it on eBay. It involves a mom of seven boys!

I myself have 3 boys. My husband is really good about watching them so I can do pedicures or massages. Just assign a few hours a month to girl time with the girls, Lunch while they are at school, (if not in school call in a sitter) etc...

I always wanted a little girl, so people in my family told me this to make me feel better: you don't have girls because only weak women have nothing but girls. You weren't a hard child or teenager, so God is rewarding you with boys.

I have FIVE sons and one baby girl! I feel like I won the lottery with all healthy boys and my last one being the sweet girl was hitting the powerball for us. I never "tried" for a girl but I was surprised that out of five successful pregnancies, one wasn't a girl. Children are awesome, trying but awesome none the less. My oldest just graduated and my baby girl will be starting kindergarten.
It was really intriguing when we brought her home from the hospital, we all were in awe of her and still are. I remember putting her on the sofa and all of us would pass by and stare at her and I have many pictures the boys took comparing her to their PSPs and roll of starbursts and various other things, for size purposes, I guess?! She was and is tiny compared to her brothers.
She has definately brought a different perspective to all our lives, definately enriched us as a family.
BUT saying that, I didn't know I was "missing" anything per se, so having my five sons was quite the blessing also. You hear others talk about having girls or boys but I figured that was their bias because they only had one sex of child so I never really paid too much attention because I was and am satisfied with what God has very richly blessed me with.

My husband's best friend is the oldest of 4 boys and they are the most amazing family. The boys are all so close that, as they graduated and moved out of their parent's house, they moved into the same house as their brothers! They're all in their 20s now, live together, and work together too!!

I have 3 girls, so hubs is outnumbered :o)

I am also outnumbered - and how will you survive - God bless you my dear, I do not have an answer. All I envision is sweat, hormones, and an ever increasing EMPTY fridge, lol. They are going to "beat" you up now, but pamper you later. Enjoy your boys and hopefully you are the queen in the house and not the slave..lol

How blessed you are! 4 kiddos? You are a brave brave woman! We have several friends with 4 or more kids and their houses are always so much fun to be at! My 2 always want to go play at their houses and all the moms are just amazing women. As far as me time, I think with any amount of kids you just have to make it a priority to get some me time in. It may have to be when they are all in bed or first thing in the morning, but you can make it work.

Congratulations and GOOD LUCK! ;)

Three boys here! My husband wants another baby (doesn't care if it's a girl or boy) but I feel so overwhelmed some days that I just can't fathom it! And, like others have said, I have absolutely NO IDEA how to handle a girl (odd, since I am one. You'd think it'd be easy!). Plus, old wives tale for girls: you get back what you gave ten fold. Yikes! No thanks!

I have 1 boy & 1 girl.
My sister & i were pregnant together both times.
She now has an almost 3 y/o son and a 7month old son.
She said to me the other day "If I only Have boys, can I borrow your daughter for some girl time?"
I thought it was really funny.
She loves her boys though.

I can't exactly relate, but I am expecting my 3rd girl (so my hubby can relate to you). But I was slightly relieved when they said it was another girl . . . I think the tech felt bad. And people always assume you're upset but like you said, I know how to do girls - I would be clueless with a boy.

Have two boys right now...We're going to try for #3 soon, my hubby so wants a girl (but I'm sure most men kind of secretly want a little girl). Personally, I am so hoping for another boy. I really haven't had a desire for a little girl, and have no desire to deal with the teenage years with a girl either. I'm most comfortable with the lil' guys running around. Feeling out numbered yes, but I'm liking the excuse at this point! I've always wanted two boys, now that I have them I couldn't ask for anything more. And yes there are days where I'm pulling my hair out, but when I sit back at the end of the day I feel so blessed to have them in my life :)

Congrats to your 4th, my dad is one of 5 boys and a girl. All only a little over a yr apart from each other--Good ol' Irish catholic family there! She had her hands full, but ran a tight ship and fully enjoys having all her 'men' helping her out now:)

Just as an aside for all you with boys (and my one and only is a boy), in my circle, in this day and age,,,, especially with the economy.. most I know usually go halffers on weddings. Expecting the girls to punt most of the bill is old fashioned and out of date.
