Hello fellow #SlackerMoms! Birthday parties can be a heck of a lot of work. Which is why I was thrilled when my kid said he didn’t want a big party this year. For his seventh birthday, in lieu of a party, he wanted to take a friend to an all-day outing to a ropes climbing and zip lining course. His dad and I were psyched! Remember when you’d roll your eyes when one-or both-of your parents would hit you with “When I was your age…” only to find yourself repeating those very words to your own kids? Somehow the last generation of kids have grown up with a sense of entitlement and are not always thought of as the most responsible.
