Advice/Suggestion On Baby Shower Gifts

Hi...My workplace is having a combined baby shower for three women who are expecting this spring. All three are having their first, all are having boys, and all have had other baby showers. The registry items at Babies R Us are all too expensive, especially considering I have to buy three of everything! I would really like to get something original and something they will use or need. Any suggesttions or things YOU got at showers that were special, memorable, or especially thoughtful?

Son's 18Th Birthday

My son is turning 18 and I wanted to do something special for him. Unlike my daughter who has had a party at each and every birthday and knows exactly how she wants everything. My son is a little more low key. We usually just go out to dinner and bake him a cake. But eighteen is pretty special. He's becoming a man. He also just finished up him Eagle scout project, and I wanted to let him know how proud we are of him. Any ideas??
