Aspergers, Food Allergies, and Birthday Party Invites.
This question is aimed at parents of aspie kids or kids who have food allergies. My 6 year old with Aspergers was invited to a birthday party at the YMCA. He's pretty high functioning, but also has nut allergies. My question is, should I send him to the party alone, or should I accompany him? It's 2 hours. It's a kid in his class, and the parents don't know him. I assume there will be lunch since it's from 11-1 so I will need to send the epi-pen just in case.
