Sling Baby Carriers

I'm wondering if any of you moms could recommend and/or give me some feedback on sling carriers you've used. We're expecting Baby #2 in the Spring, and I'm thinking a sling carrier would be really nice to use this time around, as I chase my son around, especially with warmer weather. We already have the Baby Bjorn and used it a lot with #1. I'm petite- only 5' tall, so I need something that could be sized small enough- seems like most claim they do, but again- I thought I'd see what you had to say. I am also concerned about the ring slings...

Gift Ideas for Second Child/greatest New Baby Products

Hi, We're throwing a shower for a co-worker who is having her second child and having a hard time thinking of things she might need/want. She doesn't know the gender, and her first child is now 2 years old. My first thought was something that wasn't on the market when her first was born -- maybe the Bumbo chair (not sure how long that's been on the market). Or perhaps something she can use with both kids? We're looking for items under $100. Any suggestions? Thanks! K.

Seeking Advice on Slings or Baby Wearing

I am trying to find a good way to get through my day with a happy baby and free arms. I wanted to try a sling for older babies or toddlers but don't know where to start. Are there directions for tying your baby to your side or back. I've seen others doing it in pictures but can't figure out exactly what they've done. What works the best? Any advice would be great!
