Allergy to Earrings? When to Repierce My 5 Year Old's Ears?
My 5 year old daughter has a lot of food/evironmental allergies.... she gets a terrible rash around her eyes and behind her ears. Well, I don't know if it was because of her normal allergy rash behind her ears, or if she was allergic to the metal in the earrings (I'm confident she needs nickel free), but I had to take her earrings out because they were so crusty and gross. We cleaned them with hydrogine peroxide and left the earrings out to let the wounds heal (it was like a cracked, crusty, open rash). You can tell where her earrings holes...
