I had resigned myself to enrolling my son in one of the nearby preschools (I wasn't "wow'd" by any of them)...and then I found Riviera PlaySchool! The teachers are so loving. I love how the children are encouraged to explore and communicate their feelings. Its been a wonderful experience for my son and we have really enjoyed watching him blossom.
A great place for your kids............
Riviera Playschool is a wonderful environment for kids to learn and enjoy their childhood years. Linda runs a fantastic program that really puts the child first and allows them the freedom to explore and learn.
It is set in a wonderful natural environment with fantastic access to the outdoors - a really important feature for us. Linda and her team really helped helped me in the area of transitioning my daughter to being comfortable and happy away from home, they achieved this in such a loving manner that she now can't wait to go playschool.
The teachers are all of a fantastic calibre and my daughter adores them - and you just can not do better than the wonderful teacher/pupil ratio of 1:4. The difference over other places is easy to see.
A Natural Choice

My husband and I were on the hunt for a preschool for my 2 year old son. One where he felt comfortable saying good-bye, where he had fun and felt cared for. We searched and searched and found nothing that fit.
Until my sister found Riviera Playschool online. We walked into Linda's yard and immediately knew that this was the place. It was charming, warm, and oozed of creative energy. The kids were all busy at play, focusing on their own individual tasks and seemed as happy as could be.
We hit it off with the owner / director Linda Shannon right off the bat. She was friendly, relaxed, and confident, esspecially in the area of separation anxiety which was a concern with my son.
We've been attending Riviera for a couple of months now and my son talks about Linda's house and all his friends there. I pick him up and he is happy, messy, and bright-eyed from his experience, which makes me very happy for him.
I've seen a big change in my son's play time away from playschool. He is more content to entertain himself, his imagination has blossomed and he is very focused when exploring new things, esspecially all things in nature.
Linda is always willing to listen to your concerns as a parent and quick to offer some interesting insight. She has a library of books supporting her philosophy on child development / parenting and will always have just the right book to offer when you need it.
Not only is my son learning and growning from the experience at Riviera, I, as a parent am learning and growing, too. To my husband and I, Riviera Playschool was a natural choice.
