My Smart Hands Austin teaches moms, dads, grandparents alike to use sign language (ASL) to communicate with their hearing babies before they are able to speak. Our classes are fun and educational, a place to learn and meet other families in an interactive environment. Classes are 4 or 8 weeks in length where you learn up to 120 signs. We also do workshops, sign and sing toddler classes and private mom group classes. Come sign with My Smart Hands Austin!
Smart Hands has worked with a number of parents at The Goddard School to teach them sign language. We hear consistently great feedback and recommend their program.
This class was AWESOME! My baby isn't old enough to sign but it was great for her to get out and interact with other babies and awesome for me to learn signs relevant to communicating with her. Tara is a great teacher and this class is perfect for anyone considering signing with their children!
At first I was hesitant about taking the class but after the first one, I realized how much fun it was to learn to sign and how helpful it is to learn in a class environment instead of online or from a book. For someone like me who needs some extra motivation to stick with something, Tara's class is just what it took to hold my interest and gave me a great foundation to teach my daughter to sign. The class is a good mixture of teaching and interaction. I highly recommend this class!
I loved this class! Tara made it really fun to learn signing. She made it easy to learn and retain signs that are very useful in everyday life. I plan on taking another class from her so I can learn even more. I would highly recommend this class to anyone who is interested in signing with their baby. It was fun talking to the other moms in the class too!
