Our carpets are in need of a really good & thorough cleaning. I've heard Zerorez advertised on the radio. Supposed to be environmentally safe (no harsh chemicals used), they do not use any soaps, detergents or shampoos, and good for those who have asthma or allergies. I am thinking about giving them a try. Has anyone used Zerorez before? If so, would you recommend using them? Thanks!
This is a great website- thanks to everyone who responded to my request about carpet cleaning! I went ahead and tried Zerorez. Not only did they do a wonderful job, their prices are very reasonable, it didn't take very long and our carpets were dry in about 2 hours! In addition, they do not use any harsh chemicals to clean the carpets (great for those with kids and pets). Very satisfied and will use them again...definitely recommended!

I have not heard of them but if you have a Chem-Dry in your area they are the best! They do not use any harsh chemicals, it dries in 1 to 2 hours and does not leave any residue. It's great! Go to Chemdry.com for more info.

Hi,
I am not familar with the product. Here is a great recipie for Carpet Cleaner
Check the color fastness of your carpert before using any cleaning product.
Clean carpets by mixing 1 oz of Tough & Tender and 1 capful of Sol-U-Mel for each gallon of water in your cleaning machine reservoir. This makes an excellent carpet cleaning machine solution. If you have greasy or hard to remove stains, try 1 oz of MelaMagic and 1 capful of Sol-U-Mel per gallon. If you have soft water, reduce the amount of ingredients by at least 50%. www.saferforyourhome.com http://pamp.healthhometour.com

We just moved here and had our carpets cleaned before the movers came. We had zero-rez after recommendation of a friend and following up with some reading about cleaning techniques. They did a great job, and the price was comparable. The carpets could be walked on after an hour. The carpets (white) didn't look too dirty beforehand, but zero-rez pulled a lot of soap out of them. Soap and other cleansers leave a residue in the fibers that can attract dust and dirt particles--ever wonder why a dirty spot that you cleaned gets dirty again? One reason is "wicking", where the staining agent is cleaned out of the top of the fibers, but what is left deeper down now wicks up to the top. The other reason is the residue from the spot cleaning chemicals attracts other dirt. I'm a big fan of zero-rez. They also Scotch-guarded everything for only $100 extra.

Zerorez is a great cleaning system. They have changed their name to True Clean Carpet (www.truecleancarpet.com) and continue to use their own treated water and not use any detergents or shampoos. True Clean was voted #1 by St. Louis Home magazine and they have terrific reviews and rated highest in St. Louis by Angies List. They also get great dry times of only about 1-2 hours because of the newer technology they use.
