Zerona Laser?

Have you had the zerona laser treatment, or know someone who has? I'm not doing it, but I see the commercials and have seen before and after pics online. It's a laser treatment that melts fat, the fat is absorbed somehow, and (I think) you poop it out. Supposedly, you can lose inches in weeks. This sounds pretty wild, and I'm just curious to know if anyone has had this experience? I know that a healthy diet and excersise are the best way to get in shape. This is just one of those things that I would like to hear the scoop on.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for the answers, ladies! I wouldn't spend my money on something like this, but it was very interesting to see the results in before and after pics. Specifically for double chins, cellulite, and back flab, since these are areas resistant to diet and excersise efforts. I also wouldn't have lipstick tattooed on, or spend hundreds a month on eyelash extensions. But, that doesn't stop me from staying informed and thinking "maybe in another life" lol!

There's a local chiropractor who noticed fat loss with use of his cold laser (our chiro uses it to heal swelling after injuries), and a news-story was talked about in our chiro's office about it. He claims to have helped several people with this treatment and those people swear by it. We were all skeptical.

One of my older sisters and her husband saw an ad for something similar done by a local Laser Treatment center. The once-every-six-weeks laser was supposed to help metabolize fat faster and cut back on cravings. Then they were to eat any lean meat/veggie/fruit (except grapes). They were very motivated after the first treatment, had no cravings and had lots of success. This was huge for my brother-in-law who had 4 major surgeries in under 2yrs and was unable to exercise at all. He lost 18lbs of fat. However, after that first session, their cravings are back, they have platued and lost nothing more even while following the diet. They went back for 2 more treatments then stopped.

Personally, diet and exercise never worked just like that. It had to be a certain diet (carbs, even from fruit, send my triglycerides skyrocketing) and certain exercise (certain machines bulk up my lower body). I also had to make sure that I ate enough to cover my exercising. For example, I need 1600 calories to do nothing. If I burned 500 calories by working out (according to my heart rate monitor), I had to eat 2100 calories to lose weight. If not, I lost muscle. Now that my son is healthy and I have some time to eat and exercise again, I'm going back to what works for me. I'm sad that it took so long to figure out the right combination :( Good luck!!!

All I can say is save your damn money. Much cheaper and healthier than shooting lasers to melt fat off by actually consuming foods that are healthy and not processed. Also eating significantly less. I would not let any laser near my body!

I think diet and exercise are the best way to lose weight. I would be skeptical about the laser thing. How long would it last? I would think that with the laser and diet and exercise if you go back to your old habits the fat lost would come back. Remember,it is a lifestyle change. Diet implies trying to lose weight. Once you get to your goal you still have to watch what you eat all the time and exercise regularly.

If it's what I think it is I saw it on Dr. Oz a few months back. They had some laser treatment that clamped down on belly fat. I know it was really cold, so I don't know how that works.

Either way, it wasn't made to replace diet or exercise, like you said. It is after you have done both and still have a stubborn midsection, etc. Most people don't get liposuction everywhere, just in a problem area after they tried everything. Diet and exercisere can't target a specific area. That's what this is for.

Google it, you might find more info. Maybe try Googling Dr. Oz and Zerona.
