It does taste terrible - ours was flavored fo our infant daughter in peppermint? WHAT? Why don't they make baby meds taste like milk? Don't put it in the bottle, she may not get it all if she doesn't finish the formula - we also found it works better if the meds are given a while before eating.
We started with Zantac, liquid - and put in the syringe, stuck it way back in her mouth to he back corner and squirted, she cried and struggled, and finally took it, but it was never fun, and it didn't solve our problems with reflux. We asked to switch to Prevacid granules/tablets - she got a half tab, and we took it and rubbed it inside her cheek till it dissolved, it was strawberry flavored, and she dealt with it way better and it worked better too! We did eventually find a pacifier that was a medicine holder and she would suck other meds out of that, but that was way after we were through with Zantac.
We also bought a Tucker Sling Wedge for her and she slept on it for 3-4 months, it helped ALOT, she also spent lots of time being held semi upright, or in the bouncy chair, or in the swing, for up to a half hour after being fed. You cna find the tucker slings here: http://tuckersling.com/ or used on eBay or Craigslist - that is where we got ours.
Good Luck, hopefully she will grow out of it - our girl did at about 6 months.
