Anyone ever take the Welcome to Disneyland Behind the Scenes tour? What did you think? (I think it is exclusively offered to people staying at a Disney property, but I'm not sure.) It is 2 1/2 hours, covers both Disneyland and DCA, costs $20 with AAA discount and includes a variety of "extras." Just wondering if other people found it worth their time. Thanks!

It sounds like it could be fun. When we were at Disneyworld and staying in the Concierge tower of Polynesian, we had an offer to have a behind the scenes private Safari at Animal Kingdom. It was $160 extra per person and only offered to Concierge at the hotels on the monorail line.

It was worth every penny. We had our own private safari, were able to go off the regular path that the safari goes on and see some other animals.

$20 is cheap.. I'd go for it.

It may not be the same thing, but my daughter's class did a Behind the Scenes science tour thing when her 2nd grade class went on a field trip (Orlando). It was a hit with the kids and parent chaperones (the numbers were limited and I didn't get to do that part).
They showed them Underground Disney even (there's a whole city practically underground that keeps things running).. and how roller coasters work, etc.

But, like I said, it may not be the exact same thing you are referring to.

I haven't taken it but I know people that have along with many other tours offered by Disney. Everyone I know has had nothing but glowing reviews for every tour they have taken. They are well done and enjoyable. If you are a fan of Disney at all then it is worth it. I hope to do all the tours some time in the future.

Couldnt find extra details for what this covers. But for $20 I image you would get your money's worth in 2 hours.
