Yet Another Crock Pot Question...ribs?!

So the last few days I have seen a ton of crock pot questions, but I do have another one! Maybe it's the weather...cooler temps make crock pot meals all that more appealing!

Anyway, I want to do ribs in the crock pot next week and I've never done it. It's the anniversary of my dad's death and ribs were one of his most favorite foods! So I wanted to cook some up for the family and be together. So, I'm looking for a tasty, tried and true recipe. I did look on allrecipes.com, which is someplace I've been very successful with recipes before, but I just felt overwhelmed with the rib recipes I guess. I will not finish them on the grill so I was hoping to find ones that either don't need that or that I can stick in the oven.

Please share if you have a great recipe...thanks so much!

What can I do next?

I rinse the slab of ribs in water, to wash off any bits and pieces of bone and stuff,, then cut them all apart and put them in the crock pot for a few hours on medium. Then drain off the grease and add whatever bbq sauce you like. let them cook a few more hours, maybe 3 or so. Not hard, taste great! Dad would approve I bet!

Ribs are really easy. I prefer boneless because the bones take up a lot of room in a crock pot.
Either way, I like searing them on the stove first before putting them in with some water and bbq sauce. The sauce really thickens with cooking.

Enjoy! What a nice way to remember your dad.

My husband does what he calls "Country Style" ribs in the crock pot. He takes a cut of ribs that are bone-in very thick and actually called country-style. Coats them in flour and browns them in a bit of oil on the stovetop in a frying pan. Then he throws them in the crock pot with a jar of whatever BBQ sauce you like and lets them cook on low for about 6 hours until they're falling off the bone. Soooooo yummy.

I put ribs in the crockpot with a full bottle of barbecue sauce and cook it all day. That's it! Easy and delicious!
