Tastes exactly like white cauliflower. You might hate it, but other people don't.
I'm going ot a Superbowl party and the host loves themes, so I wanted to make my veggie tray look festive. Since it is in New Orleans and the Baltimore Ravens colors are yellow and purple, I was thinking of using yellow and purple cauliflower. Problem is I don't like cauliflower and never had yellow or purple cauliflower. Does it taste good or is it a waste of money? I'm having other veggies as well, so it won't all be cauliflower.

Tastes the same at white. You may also be able to find yellow and purple string beans and tomatoes at a really good grocery store.
I love making dishes with purple and yellow cauliflower!
To me they taste the same, raw or cooked.

To be honest - never had any cauliflower other than white - so I don't know if they taste different.
When I take things to parties - I bring things I like to eat as well. This way when I make it? I know what it tastes like...
You know - go into Harris Teeter - or even Safeway - the one on Leesburg Pike in Leesburg has a great veggie section and ask the produce manager. I've received a lot of great veggie ideas from them!! They can even give you a taste so you know what you are bringing!!
i love cauliflower - all of it, even the green broccoli-cauliflower.
the purple/yellow one tastes the same to me. i especially love it dipped in home made ranch.
How about using eggplant or yellow squash as well?
