I know you decided to wait, but let me tell you, it wouldn't be any fun anyway. OUCH.
I have my first YI of my life, and I'm just wondering if I have to wait until it clears up before I can be intimate with my hubby. Would I transmit it to him if we don't wait?
(I know I could just ask him since he's a doctor, but that kinda takes the spontanatey out of it :)
Thanks ladies!! I will be putting him on ice until the medicine does its work :)

Yep, you can pass it back and forth creating kind of a continuous yeast infection cycle. Sorry, but you need to wait!
yes you can give it to him. Then if both of you don't get it taken care of, it will just keep going back and forth. Not fun. Hope you feel better soon!!
You could pass it on to him if you did't wait. I had problems with YI's after my son was born and sometimes if they weren't cleared up prior to my husband and I being intimate he would get many of the same symptoms that I had. But again, sometimes he wouldn't too!
I know- not a straight answer! I guess it's probably best to wait! Especially because in some instances having sex with a YI can make your symptoms worse! And no one wants that!
It is highly recommended that you DON'T have sex while you have a yeast infection. Guys /can/ carry the yeast for, I think it's 3 days, and they can re-infect you. It is better to wait until it's cured completely because as it is painful to have a yeast infection, so it is to have sex during.
It can also be painful to have sex while you have a yeast infection.
If you do choose to have sex make sure he washes well after wards.
