Would Your Husband(significant Other) Do This?

So the other day when I was shamelessly wasiting away time on Pinterest I found a Group Date night idea. It is right up my ally. I remember way back in high school when we did a road rally for our French class that was so much fun. So basically the gist of this was to meet up with a group of friends for dinner and then everyone splits off in couples reading clues to find the spots they need to stop at and complete the tasks. For example, one of the tasks was to go to the local movie theater and one had to get down on their knees and sing a love song to the other. You photograph and pick up items as the proof you went there. Then you all meet up in the end somewhere.

I think this sounds awesome. Its more about spending quality time with your significant other than anything, but also including a group of friends too. I mentioned this first to my husband who wasn't that fond of the idea, but most likely would go along with it. And then, last night I mentioned it to my group of high school friends (we meet for a girls night at least once a month). My one friend LOVED the idea. My other two were like hmmm..thats cool. I said I know our husbands probably wouldn't be too pumped about it but I think it would be a good way for us to spend some quality time with our husbands and see eachother too. They agreed with me. My friend that loved the idea said her husband would probably love it too and I get the feeling he would too.

So my question is how would you and/or your significant other feel about this type of thing? (Just for fun because I'm curious)

What can I do next?

Sounds like fun to me! My husband would participate as well (but first I'd get one of his 'are you serious' looks) and he'd have a great time =)

I like the idea, really!. My husband wouldnt be super hyped about it, but totally would go along... unless he happened to be hyper tired that day. Assuming he wasn't he would totally do it and enjoy it.

Neither my husband nor I would be interested in this. A scavenger hunt, maybe. A trivia night, sure.

Stick in the mud time: I would be peeved if I was trying to catch a movie and some couple came in and began to serenade each other. Or if I was trying to do my job and someone insisted on reading Goldilocks and the Three Bears to me. Annoying.

My husband would seriously hate the idea, but I would too. It's so not our thing. He would do anything, if it meant a lot to me...but this is just not something either of us would get excited about. I would personally rather do something we both get excited for. It never ends up well when one of the parties is just trying to make the other happy.

I think it sounds like a lot of fun! And it's something out of the ordinary and something that you probably would have a lot of great laughs about later on too. Its good silly fun!

I am not sure my hubby would do it, but with enough begging he might consider lol. IF we had friends to do it with.

I hope you end up doing it, sounds like a blast!

Nope, no way would my husband participate. We've been married 12 years and I know him well enough I wouldn't even suggest this. But then again, it's not 100% my style either so I probably would find a reason that we were busy.

I would probably be the one in the group of friends saying "Do we have to go do this thing?" It's kinda like when the ladies (not me) decided we were all going to a honkey tonk for our first group outing as couples (we had just moved up north from Texas) when everyone listens to ROCK music and does not line dance. Don't get me wrong LOVE country music - in the car and at concerts not a huge fan on honky tonks! So, I guess I am the Debbie Downer with I would be the reluctant one in this particular activity.

My husband wouldn't mind so long as there's no public humiliation required. He hates having the attention of strangers, hate hates being sung to in restaurants (Birthdays) and would hate to have to sing out in a public place.

My husband and I have gone on several road rally's and we love them! One friend that I worked with used to have one near Halloween, so you had to have costumes .. and it was 4 people per car, so the whole team needed costumes that went together (we were all a cootie bug once, and 101 dalmations another year). We had to have a designated driver, and the driver had to have their license in a sealed envelope, to hopefully prevent speeding..if it was opened, then they knew that person had been pulled over. It started at her house and ended somewhere where we would eat. They can be alot of work, and you need several helpers to get the clues out there. Someone to try the route and make sure that all the clues work. They would take off points if you opened an emergency envelope....
they were fun!
