Would This Be Good the Day After Baking?

My daughter found this bread she'd like to have Christmas day. It's quite involved; I don't want to spend several hours Christmas morning preparing it for our lunch. Can you bakers out there have a look at the link and let me know if you think it'll still be good to have Christmas day at lunchtime if we make it the afternoon before?

Thanks, ladies!

Hi M.,

It will be best one or two days after baking, unless you have a way to keep it really fresh. After baking the wreath, leave it out long enough to thoroughly cool down (so whatever you store it in won't trap the steam as it evaporates). When cool, put the wreath in something really air tight to maintain freshness. Do not refrigerate it if you can serve it in a day or two. Remember to eat it within a few days because it will not have the preservatives that store bought breads do, but it will taste much better than store bought bread!

Enjoy!

It should be good for 3-4 days. Sometimes things like that are actually better the next day because all the flavors have time to mix

I agree with the previous posts. I bake avidly and the best thing to do is leave it out of the fridge and wrap it in an airtight container. Leave it at room temperature. If you cannot eat it within a day or two you can freeze it (refrigeration tends to dry bread out). If you choose to freeze it, let it thaw unwrapped at room temperature before enjoying. HTH
