Has anyone invested in a "sleep program" - specifically Dana Obleman's "The Sleep Sense Program"? Is it really worth the $29 and does it actually work??

What can I do next?

Yes, I got it and she has some great advice. I got it when my daughter was in the toddler stage and it helped us get through a rough sleeping patch. It's definitely worth $29.

If you need a great plan for getting your kids to sleep, buy the book Healthy Sleep Habit, Happy Child by Dr. Marc Weissbluth. Best money I ever spent in my life and I have two perfectly sleeping Angels because of this book and the techniques I put forth after reading it.

Programs and books can give you the methodology you might be looking for but just remember....you as a parent are the one who makes it work.

So long as it isn't 2 HUNDRED and 99, it may be worth a shot. Sometimes it's routine kids look for at night before bed, but if child is having problems during sleep perhaps it's worth looking into. Not bad for 29.

Go to the library. Weissbluth's book is good. The Baby Whisperer series is also good.

Does it involve letting them cry alot? I can't handle that. I tried letting her cry for 10 minute intervals, then going in to check on her & placing her back in her bed with a kiss.... this went on for almost 3 hours. We are both hysterical (guess thats what happens after 2 weeks of no sleep) and I really don't think I can handle this approach. I can not bear to hear my baby cry like that. I need to find a gentler approach.

Well, I paid more for it but it worked with my now almost 6 year old. We got it when he was about 22 months old and he is an awesome sleeper.

Now, I can't get my nearly 30 month old son to sleep - he was great until about 18 months. He gets up every night - nothing works except melatonin. Maybe I should try this again. C.

Just figured out how you can get it for $29 bucks and yes you should do it if you and your partner are willling to do the program. It isn't too tough - easier than getting up and always being so tired!
